Panzerchrist
The 7th Offensive
July 2013
Released: 2013, Listenable Records
Rating: 3.0/5
Reviewer: Metal-Rules.com UK Team

Perhaps one of the remaining parts of the old guard of blackened death metal, Denmark’s Panzerchrist may or may not have blasted their way into your consciousness before. If not, hopefully with their 7th outing, The 7th Offensive, they will begin to shatter your eardrums too. If you are a previous fan, you will not be disappointed…

All the elements that make blackened death metal what it is are included in this album. If you like BDM, I don’t see why wouldn’t like it. If not, why are you reading this review? Perhaps you noticed this album advertised somewhere and are thinking of reaching out to new extremes, in which case you don’t need a review to tell you what to listen to, listen to it and see what you think. In my opinion, the album is slightly monotonous, and gives me a feeling of having heard it all before.

It's well put together, well recorded with some fantastic lead guitar work and industry standard drumming but there’s nothing new, personally nothing to sink my teeth into. That said: Panzerchrist still does it well.
