Pro-Pain
Round 6
December 2000
Released: 2000, Spitfire Rating: 3.0/5 Reviewer: Keith McDonald This is another band that doesn't get some publicity and respect from the general music crowd. A hardcore band that originated from New York City, this band has been kicking it around for quite a while now. Round 6 refers to their sixth studio album and it's what you would expect from this outfit. They're not going to be on MTV's Total Request Live anytime soon, but they are true to their roots. With blistering tracks Fed Up, Substance and Let Live, Pro-Pain delivers off-the-wall, bang-your-head, get up and kill someone shit. I have to respect any band that keeps on keeping on like a Pro-Pain does. They know they'll never sell 8 million albums and will always play small clubs, but they never stop, and that makes them a great band in my mind. The only thing though is that this is their third album on as many labels, Mayhem and Nuclear Blast being the others. Hopefully Spitfire will be their last stop.
