Pissing Razors
Cast Down The Plague
April 1999
Released: 1999, Noise Records
Rating: 3.5/5
Reviewer: EvilG

Ouch...the thought of pissing razors doesn't seem like much fun to me. Maybe these guys all have the clap or something? Maybe that's what's pissing them off to the point where they have created this violent aggressive metal onslaught that some probably listen to before beating the shit out of something? So move over Pantera, Machine Head and Skinlab, a new contender has entered the game. These guys are angry, noisy (in a good way) and are 100% metal. Sounds hard to believe for a practically new US band doesn't it? Well this is a blast of fresh air to these ears. I had expected much less from this band as I thought this was to be yet another grating hardcore band. This is not the case.

Pissing Razors were wise in choosing "Mass Corruption" as the CD's opener because it's easily the best track, complete with chugging thrash riffs and blistering leads not unlike Slayer, this song is the highlight. With some luck this band will easily be able to take it's place alongside bands like Machine Head...the only thing is, if I were Rob Flynn I'd be worried.
