Planethard
Crashed On Planet Hard
November 2008
Released: 2008, Music Buy Mail/Artistworkxx Rating: 5.0/5 Reviewer: Anders Sandvall Planethard started out as a cover act back in 2004 and did covers of Bon Jovi, Skid Row, Motley Crue and Whitesnake. After a few months the band started to write own material and this Italian act soon gained a reputation for being a great live act. The debut album was titled SO GOOD and between 2005-07 the band mainly focused on performing live and went out on the road with Gotthard, Motörhead and Labyrinth. Singer Sivo sounds amazing behind the mic and he sings in perfect English which is very rare amongst Italian singers. The bands melodic hardrock is performed with passion and nerve and it’s really a great ride the band takes us on. Despite their sound being quite melodic they have managed to get their own, harder twist on the music. Guitars have a leading part in the production and keyboards have only been used when absolutely necessary. Think Fair Warning, early Bon Jovi, Skid Row or Jaded Heart then you have a idea of what Planethard plays. Otherwise, this a great album filled with great music. It feels like the guys have put some effort into the songs and my favorite tracks are “Unchain My Heart”, “If I Want To Forget (Her Love)”, “You Got That Fire”, “Without Words”, “Everything”, “Kill Me (But First Kiss Me)”. This album is full of well executed melodic hardrock and it deserves a closer look. http://www.myspace.com/planethard http://www.artistworkxx.de ![]()
