Night Demon
Curse Of The Damned
February 2015
Released: 2015, SPV
Rating: 4.0/5
Reviewer: Helias Papadopoulos

NIGHT DEMON is a new band out of California, and they play pure 80’s heavy metal in the likes of Iron Maiden, Tygers of Pan Tang, Diamond Head, Angelwitch, and the mighty Demon! If you blend all these giants of N.W.O.B.H.M. you gonna take NIGHT DEMON.

CURSE OF THE DAMNED is their debut album that is hopefully full of metal promises and wonderful melodies together with the power and rage of heavy metal. Their music is not in the frames of any metal revival wave or something; it’s simple, pure, convincing and authentic. The band is a power trio that can blow your mind with the aggressive guitars and the wonderful refrains. Only N.W.O.B.H.M. bands could make so nice, beautiful and cheerful melodies. Now, and Night Demon as well.

Songs like “Screams In The Night”, “Curse of the Damned” and “Killer” are not even close to nostalgic feeling. They just remind you of the roots of the music you love. I need to say that NIGHT DEMON’s music is not just a fake and cheap replication of N.W.O.B.H.M. - It’s just a feverish and great modern and old at the same time musicianship.
