My Minds Mine
Scenes of the Complete Annihilation of this Planet
June 2002
Released: 2002, Amenta Records Rating: 2.0/5 Reviewer: Cid If you are into Grindcore or maybe even Hardcore, my guess is that you already know about this band since they released some 7’’ some time ago. For those of you who are not familiar with My Minds Mine, I must say that they aren’t all that bad, they’re just not what a metalhead like myself (maybe someone will disagree) is looking for. First off, this CD is 20 minutes long and includes 24 tracks. I think that alone will turn some of you away. The music itself is not half bad, you don’t hear polka in the backgrounds, you don’t hear harmonizers all over the place and you don’t hear the same old tired crunching riffs most grindcore bands tend to love so much. What you get here is some interesting riffs, some hardcore influences here and there and a very good vocal performance. What I, Cid, got though, was sleepy. This is definitely not for me, but Grindcore and Hardcore fans might dig deep into this Dutch outfit.
