MTV
The Return of Rock
August 2000
Released: 2000, Roadrunner Records Rating: 0.0/5 Reviewer: EvilG Avoid this CD and it's bands like the plague. I didn't need to even listen to this CD to know it was garbage! First of all, if it's associated with MTV, so you know it's gonna be trendy. Secondly... "the return of rock"? Whatever...as if rock ever went anywhere, and as if the bands on here have anything to do with rock in the first place! This is "nu-metal" (that means shitty rap with guitar). This CD represents a showcase of some of the worst bands in "hard" music in America today. That means you get 15 songs of (c)rap like K**n, Static X, Korn Chamber, Kid Cock, System of a Korn, Kittie, etc etc....This is the music that I hate!! The thing that really makes my blood boil is that some fucks call this "metal." On a closing note, the final point that pisses me off about this piece of shit is that it is put out on a label that was once METAL. Can you remember when Roadrunner meant King Diamond, Deicide, Annihilator and Obituary? Thank the metal gods for real metal labels like Noise Records and Century Media.
