Motorhead
Better Motorhead Than Dead
November 2007
Released: 2007, SPV/Steamhammer Rating: 5.0/5 Reviewer: Celtic Bob Another Live Motorhead disc. How many do we need? Allot obviously according to the band. Will fans buy it? Damn right we will. Let’s turn it up and get down to business. 2 discs of pure distorted, loud Rock n’ Roll. The 23 tracks spanning this pair of discs was recorded in June 2005 at the band’s 30th Anniversary show in London in front of 5000 screaming fans. All the classics are here as well as a couple tracks of the latest release at the time INFERNO. A couple of somewhat rare live tracks are tossed into the set for good measure to make the 30th Anniversary show all that more special. Hearing the somewhat more mellow “Whorehouse Blues” is a welcomed treat as it is different from anything they’ve done. Hopefully this show was filmed and will show up soon on a DVD release. What can be said? Live Motorhead at it’s best. Raw and in your face. Pure Rock n’ Roll. ![]()
