Michael Romeo
June 2005
Released: 1994, Hellion Records
Rating: 5.0/5
Reviewer: Evil Rocker

The rating of 5 out of 5 should be better explained. Although there is no flaw to this album, it is a purely instrumental guitar solo album written and performed by a modern guitar master, Michael Romeo (SYMPHONY X). Romeo plays every instrument on this album, including drum programming. The pure guitar skill is at times jaw dropping; the melodic lines are also well done and nicely laid behind the melodic solos. Even the drum programming is well done!

This is an album for fans of guitar excellence and solos. You will not find any vocals, riffs, or headbanging tracks on this CD. Instead, the trained ear will hear magnificent musicianship from a truly gifted performer who spends most of his time in the world of metal but here highlights what he can do as an individual.
