Infernal Eternal
June 2002
Released: 2000, Regain Records
Rating: 4.0/5
Reviewer: Anders Sandvall

This is a double live album, dedicated to the fans and all of the people who followed the band for the past ten years. The album contains eighteen live songs and three other live songs for the computer as an extra bonus. It was recorded during the World Panzer Battle tour.

The production is brilliant, and the cover, by Joe Petagno (Motörhead, etc.), looks really nice. It is full speed through out the whole album. Legion talks pretty much between the songs. The music is pure black metal and the tempo is of course really fast. The music is about things like satan, evil, death and darkness.

The band is:

Morgan Steinmeyer-Håkansson – guitar

B. War – bass

Fredrik Anderssen – drums

Legion – lead vocals

A few negative things about the album are that the noise from the audience has been cut down between each song. I think that when it’s a live album you should be able to hear the audience all of the time--that gives more of a live feeling. Also, the booklet doesn't say which places the songs were recorded. I want to know exactly where each was recorded.

I can´t pick any favourite songs from the album because every one is really good. The album also has, in addition to good songs, very good production and very good musicians. I have to confess that I never followed Marduk, although I am a fan of black metal. To me, Marduk is one of the best black metal bands today!
