Koldborn
The Uncanny Valley
February 2007
Released: 2006, Listenable Records/Sound Pollution Rating: 4.0/5 Reviewer: Anders Sandvall The Danish act Koldborn is back with an excellent new studio album. THE UNCANNY VALLEY is filled with ultra-brutal death metal backed up by a lot of hate with a capital H. The only major difference between this album and their previous ones is that the band has developed musically and now features more nuanced songs as well as more songs with tempo changes. If you’re a fan of death metal, I promise you can’t but love Koldborn because they have almost managed to create the definitive death metal album. Jacob Bredahl produced the album; it’s razor-sharp and doesn’t lack any content whatsoever. All of the band members contribute amazing efforts and lead vocalist Lars-Björn Hansen has the ultimate death metal voice. Koldborn has really done wonders on THE UNCANNY VALLEY and hopefully they will continue to walk this musical path in the future. There’s nothing remotely bad on this album to argue about. If you liked the debut album, I’m convinced this will be an even better Koldborn experience for you. This is Danish brutality at its best! http://www.soundpollution.se ![]()
