Jello Biafra & The Melvins
Never Breathe What You Can`t See
April 2005
Released: 2004, Alternative Tentacles
Rating: 3.5/5
Reviewer: Wisco

Okay, I can hear some of you groaning cuz I’m reviewing a “punk” record. Save it, cuz the Melvins are more metal than you’ll ever be, so fuck off. Basically, the album is pretty much what you’d expect. In other words, it’s a really, really heavy Dead Kennedys album. I defy you, loyal headbangers, to not bang your head to “Plethysmograph.” Besides, anybody who doesn’t have their head up their ass knows that thrash, ultimately, is the unholy marriage of metal and punk. In other words, the two genres aren’t mutually exclusive. So c’mon metalheads, buy your punk enemies a pint and rejoice together in heavy riffage and scathing political commentary. I recommend this album to those metalheads with a little bit of latitude…and attitude.
