The young Cali-thrashers in Invection hit back with another EP, titled DEREALIZATION. This release basically offers much of the same content-wise that they already offered on their previous EP, DEMENTED PERCEPTION, that was released in 2009.
If the band´s previous EP was more straightforward effort - thoroughly aggressive, violent and attacking on listeners to bite their necks with sharp and piercing riffs and stuff like a furious and hungry wild beast, the songs on DEREALIZATION – without having any signs of slowing down a bit, have got teeny-weeny more variation in them; some extra solos and some extra tempo changes that seem to carry more them toward their own direction musically.
These young fellows are truly on fire on the latest EP of theirs, playing the kind of thrash that should get them signed to a label in no time. DEREALIZATION simply reeks of all those vital elements that metal heads tend to appreciate in their daily dose of well-executed and convincingly played thrash. From a fierce crossfire of killer, drop-dead riffing in “Stunted Survival” to ´slayer-esque´ riff fests and hotly burning solos in “Demented Perception”, Invection come and prove that they are definitely one of those most potential and worthy new thrash acts that are out there now hunting for a record deal. It is already safe to claim that they will be snapped up soon unless that hasn´t been happened already.
DEREALIZATION does not contain anything but top-notch thrash that is meant to drop some heads off of people´s shoulders. They did not invent the wheel again with their thrash metal extravaganza on DEREALIZATION but prove to everyone they are here to stay with their unrelenting, attitude-filled thrash. I love these guys.
