Innerfate
Unleashed
March 2010
Released: 2009, n/a
Rating: 3.0/5
Reviewer: Theis Rytoft

Innerfate is a new Spanish band created by three formers members of Forever Slave. The band started in 2009 and has now recorded a demo UNLEASHED featuring 5 tracks.

One of the characteristics of this band is the soft lullaby melodies appearing throughout the whole album. Used in conjunction with riffs the symphonic metal has a nice multiplicity and coherently those two elements support each other very well.

Being symphonic the band, tempted to say of course, has a female vocalist. Personally I am not having any big arousal from her performance but it certainly fits the style the band embraces. The voice is pleasant and manages to make me pay attention as well as demonstrating a lot of talent, although I think it would benefit from a bit more variety, as I can imagine I would get bored of it through listening to 10 tracks. The choruses and melodies are catchy and there are some amusing instrumental parts on the album which I enjoyed.

I am certainly looking forward to hear more from Innerfate in the future as I can see a lot of potential from UNLEASHED. It will be interesting to see how they will fare on a full-length album.
