Back For Another Taste
May 2004
Released: 1990, Capitol Records
Rating: 4.2/5
Reviewer: Celtic Bob

This is one of my all-time favourite bands. I just recently added this cd to my collection and it has gotten allot of spins in the past couple of days. I forgot how good this album really was. I don’t know why I never added it to my collection sooner. At least it’s there now and I am slowly picking up the rest of their catalog.

“The Storm” starts out the listening experience here and sets you off on a journey with one of the best groups ever. This leads into “Running Wild” which was equally as popular as the first one, probably even more. Who can forget seeing the video for this song? It is one of those videos that you vision in your head every time you hear this great rock n’ roll song. Brian’s vocals are great on the album and Brent and Paul do some amazing guitar work here. The majority of the album is good old hard rock and roll and it doesn’t slow down until “Good To The Last Drop” which is where Vollmer’s voice is fantastic and at its best. He really shines and shows off his vocal talents on this one. A truly great song, definite classic.

Like it’s follow-up album (A BUISNESS DOING PLEASURE) it sort of seems to be a small bit of a low point in the bands career when you look at it from a fan’s view. Last year I reviewed the BUISNESS album and gave it a 3.5 but since that time I’ve become much more appreciative of that album and now realize it should’ve been given a 4.5 at the least.
