Hatesphere is about to follow up their 2005 effort THE SICKNESS WITHIN which was an album that was highly praised by the media and won the Danish Metal Award for Album of the Year and the Best Production award. The bands music is best described as furious modern thrash/death metal with really mean guitar riffs and ordinary and growling lead vocals by bandleader and singer Jacob Bredahl. This is 100% metal in everyway possible. Bredahl says that the band has worked even harder on their groove parts which is something that you can actually hear.



The album runs through 9 tracks in an extreme nose-punching tempo and when it comes to the material I’m totally speechless, there’s nothing at all to complain about. It all kicks off with the killer track “Lies And Deceit” that captures the absolute essence of the album. Fast and furious guitar riffs burn a hole in your forehead when it runs over you. “The Stain”, “Drinking With The King Of The Dead” feels a little groovier and it goes in a mid-tempo speed. This is a new side of Hatesphere but it’s still as hard as before. Other killer tracks are “Damned Below Judas”, “Forever War”, “Feeding The Demons”, “Floating”, “Let Them Hate” and “Absolution”.



When it was time to record the album the band went to Bredahl’s own studio Smart n Hard. Drums were recorded by Tommy Hansen in Jailhouse Studio and after that it was time to go to Antfarm Studio to mix the album. Bredahl is an excellent producer and has produced many of my favorite albums over the years and when he and Tue Madsen hook up the result can’t be anything else but amazing. Hatesphere have done it again and no fan of the band is gonna be disappointed. It’s an amazing album by one of the best band in Denmark.
