Gravity Kills
Superstarved
May 2002
Released: 2002, Sanctuary Records
Rating: 3.0/5
Reviewer: Pete

If you're a fan of the Marilyn Manson / NIN / Ministry-meets-metal school of music(?), Gravity Kills latest effort entitled SUPERSTARVED will appeal to you. Even though I'm a bit jaded when it comes to this style of music, I must admit, the 13 tunes on this CD (the band's 4th release) do have their share of hooks. "Take it All Away" and "Breakdown" are tracks that you'll find lingering in your head long after the first listen. A particular highlight of this CD is the cover of Depeche Mode's 1990 hit "Personal Jesus," as Gravity Kills turn this one up a notch, bringing it up to speed in the year 2002.

Lots of hype surrounding this release, as these guys haven't made headlines since their debut six years ago. For more info, check out http://www.gravitykills.com
