OU EST LA ROCK? was the name on Fireball Ministry’s debut album from 1999 and now five years, and five labels later, it’s time for us to take part of their newest effort with the long title that I’m going to refer to as TRINOR.



Musicwise you can draw parallels to heavy Southern Rock’n’Roll acts like Black Label Society and other so called stoner rock acts. The only major error I see with this album is the songs sometimes have a tendency of melting into each other, the songs sound pretty similar to each other and in some cases it can be hard to separate them from one another and therefore it’s both hard to pick any particular favorite and for that matter remembering the choruses. Otherwise the album feels pretty solid and they have prepared TRINOR with actionpacked dirty southern music all the way through.



TRINOR was recorded in Dave Grohl’s famous studio called 606 West and in Elliot Smith’s New Monkey Studios by Nick Raskulinecz. Nick has worked with the band two times before so he is familiar with what sound the band likes to have because the production is solid as a rock and he put the focus on both guitar and lead vocals. A few of the songs that in fact caught my ear and stands out a bit more are “It Flies Again”, “Sundown”, “In The End”, “Two Tears”, “Spill The Demons”, “Rising From The Deep”. The title THEIR ROCK IS NOT OUR ROCK speaks for itself and there’s nothing much to say about that.
