Deiphago are a band who've been around since the late 80's but save for a few early demos, and after a huge hiatus, the band didn't really do anything of any real worth until 2006 when their debut album was released.
So this, the latest output from these mad Pilipino black/death metallers, is pretty much what one would expect from Deiphago. That is, assuming you're familiar with the band. Breaking pretty much zero musical boundaries Deiphago pound and blast their way through 9 solid hymns of satanic black/death/grind, save for the eerie intro track. It's one massive frenzy of fast buzzing guitars, blast upon blast and shrieked vocals from Satan's bowels.
All of this combined makes for a thrilling listen. Despite being somewhat generic in essence, the delivery is so hateful and raw that one can't help enjoy it. Not the sort of album one could play regularly, and although not entirely devoid of melody, it still requires a certain mood to enjoy fully.
Whether you're already a fan of the band, or are looking for an introduction, this album is highly recommended. Just make sure you're in the correct mindset, and enjoy the blasphemy on offer.
Notable tracks: 'Into the Eye of Satan' and 'Red Dragon of Chaos'.
