Daymares
Can’t Get Us All
February 2008
Released: 2007, Selfmadegod Records Rating: 4.0/5 Reviewer: Anders Sandvall Daymares was originally formed in 2006 when a group of friends got together and the goal was to combine hardcore and punk with the energy and charm of death’n’roll. After intense rehearsing they recorded a demo which landed them a deal with a record label and here is the Polish bands debut album. Fans of slighter extreme music are really gonna appreciate this but also fans of hardcore and punk because this band have many branches on their musical tree. The band has musical similarities with Cro-Mags, Napalm Death, later Entombed as well as Biohazard. The 11 songs are progress at a hazardous tempo and almost all of the songs are brilliantly executed with solid arrangements, a brutal approach and a mean attitude. It almost feels like the albums 35 minutes are too short because I want to hear more from Daymares. Daymares has delivered an incredibly strong debut album and it’s gonna be really interesting to hear more from the band in the future. I’m sure that the guys have the future ahead of them and that they can achieve wonders with their music. All fans of death’n’roll, punk or hardcore should absolutely check this album out real close.
