C'mon, it’s a split EP with Coffins and Ilsa, what else do I need to sell you on? It’s available on Bandcamp right now and costs less than a McMeal. Don’t be a cheap ass, just do it and say thank you.

Okay – Japan’s Coffins are one of the longest running, if not THE most dependable, Japanese heavy/death/doom outfits ever, and have been delivering consistent filth like this for over a decade. Ilsa are an American comparable from D.C., eagerly nipping at Uchino’s heels for acceptance - their sophomore full length TUTTI COLORI DEL BUIO being a particular highlight. Together, East meets West in a most corporeal fashion for your unhallowed pleasure. These kinds of hellish collusions are what the underground was built upon, and honestly it’s what keeps me interested today. Sick, heavy, and unapologetic – it’s the kind of temporary distraction from the doldrums of your daily that you so desperately need but don’t realize until it hits your speakers.

Coffins get better with every split/single/whatever they release (and there are a lot), and Ilsa are respectable heirs to that throne. This is the underground; get with it or go home.
