C-T Prevail
Mean Season
January 2009
Released: 2008, Morningstar Records Rating: 2.0/5 Reviewer: Simon Lukic With a bloodied cover and unusual name, C-T Prevail delivers an aggressive album that should interest deathcore fans. What we get here are 14 tracks that mix grind, death and groove to create an interesting, if somewhat unoriginal album. The band are at their best when they go all out, so “Enrage”, Pure But Wasted”, “Listen” and “In Turn” stand tall due to their heavy approach and effective nature. When C-T Prevail inject a little groove into their song writing, I tend to think that it doesn’t work simply because they haven’t fully ironed out the subtlety needed to make the dynamic work MEAN SEASON hasn’t won me over but I can see many of you enjoying this. If music that crosses Shadows Fall with Entombed sounds interesting to you, then check it out. ![]()
