Bonded By Blood
Exiled To Earth
March 2011
Released: 2010, Earache Records Rating: 3.0/5 Reviewer: Metal-Rules.com UK Team This is the second album released by this Californian Thrash Metal band and on first impression I wasn't too sure what to make of it. I loved the melodic intro to the album with the first track '600 A.B. (After The Bomb)' but I have to say the vocals really didn't do it for me. The band have recently been joined by vocalist, 'Mauro Gonzalez' who stepped in at the last minute and because the band were so impressed BONDED BY BLOOD have announced 'Mauro Gonzalez' as a permanent member. The sound production is great on this album and without doubt the band has talent, but it's really not to my taste. I did find some of the songs pretty repetitive but there were some songs that stood out for me, including 'Genetic Encryption' which kept my interest going. Saying that though, I did really enjoy the music - fast paced drumming, fantastic riffs with guitar solo's, they're are a tight playing band. The concept of this album was rather amusing too. Set in future Earth an uprising of cyborgs known as 'Crong' who are here to take over, so to save the planet a rebellion were formed; led by 'Bonded by Blood'. There are some really creative lyrics which led the story throughout the songs. I think if you are a fan of this fast paced thrash metal style then you will enjoy this album, they already have a great fan base and are preparing for a tour later this year so I can see this band doing really well.
