Become A Threat
Method in This Madness
September 2010
Released: 2010, Full House Records
Rating: 3.5/5
Reviewer: Luxi Lahtinen

Finnish label Full House Records, basing their activities strongly on some of the hottest and new metal-tinged Finnish hardcore acts, has signed another very metallic sounding hardcore act to their roster again, named Become A Threat (who can be considered some sort of ´all-star´ band, featuring members from St. Hood, Cutdown, Down My Throat and Bolt). In fact, they even may be the label´s most fist-pounding act in terms of having so much thrash metal in their hectically pumping veins. They definitely sound more like a thrash metal band than just a plain, testosterone-filled HC-act - with their own views about violence, lies, nightmares, pain and the end of this world in general.

Become A Threat nails down 10 songs in less than 25 minutes on their debut, titled METHOD IN THIS MADNESS, sounding vicious, aggressive, in-yer-fuckin´-face, but without forgetting completely the necessity of melodies either. Roughly said, they sound like a band that needs no excuses from anyone; just coming mercilessly to punish everyone with a hardened knuckle-duster - and without regretting or taking responsibilities from their actions for doing so. Crushing, heavy and full-on thrashing guitar riffs within the songs are the obvious dominating element in their sound, accompanied by Sami´s pissed-off vocal outbursts that together create an iron-hard ground for the band´s deeply slashing and pleasingly varied thrashcore-ish onslaught.

These 25 minutes are packed with a beautiful and effortless flow of the songs that insist you return to this thoroughly enjoyable disc, over and over again. Definitely worth checking out this hardcore/thrash act here. Buy or die!
