Holy beads of perspiration on my forehead! Belgian deathgrinders and a royal murder squad Aborted truly rewrite some books of extreme metal all over again. Rarely, just unfortunately rarely, a band with THIS overwhelmingly brutal and crushing sound crosses your miserable path like coming from nowhere and raising a full-scale warfare - annihilating and putting everyone to lick the dust who just dares to come in their way. AH! not that literally, but you got a damn good picture anyway, didn't ya!?
For the fans of Morbid Angel, Deranged, Cryptopsy, Suffocation, Hate Eternal and such extremists, ENGINEERING THE DEAD, the band's 3rd album to date, is an essential album to purchase. Aborted sounds like a hybridized bastard son of all those abovementioned noisemakers, spitting out more blood and pieces of bone and meat than that nice, lonely butcher of your little, isolated home village. The meat grinders certainly won't set the Thames on fire, but they are definitely a nice addition to the ever-growing line of other brutal, deathly grinding combos that stand out in their own repulsive way. And a word "melody" is not necessarily to be found from these fellas' "A-B-C" vocabulary, but somehow they have got an up-dated idea about the inner meanings of all things grindy and wonderfully lethal instead. Don't be fooled and think they are selling salvation for free or you could confess to them either.
Aborted are mean, vile and evil to the ugliest core, so don't play dead with them 'coz the engineers of the dead people are now after more juicy "material" for their up 'n coming "construction" and I saw your name on the top of their list... - and remember who were the ones who already recommended you to amputate your ugly head for the name of a flesh-ripping metal?!!
