Andy Timmons
December 2006
Released: 2006, Favoured Nations
Rating: 3.5/5
Reviewer: Celtic Bob

Guitar virtuoso Andy Timmons, who was once the guitarist for the glam metal band Danger Danger, releases this disc full of riffs, solos and extra- ordinary melodies. Having shared the stage with such diverse players and artists such as, Olivia Newton John to Tod Nugent to The Beach Boys to fellow guitar god Stevie Vai. For those of you who haven't followed Timmons since he left D2, (I know I haven't), this album will come as quite a surprise. Andy is one amazing guitarist. It has everything you could want from an instrumental guitar record. There is fast over the top shredding as well as some really mellow and melodic pieces. The track, "Move On" is the heaviest track here, and it just begs to have some vocals on it, as it is a classic rocker with some stellar guitar work.
