With their sixth album, Amberian Dawn take the listener on a journey into the heart of the "Magic Forest", where enchanted and fantastic creatures dwell with the Finns providing the soundtrack to this unique journey. The intro to this album is filled the soul pounding ear bleeding Keyboards from Tumas who prepares you for the journey into the Magic Forest.
This album really needs to be enjoyed through headphones, as it's appeal becomes lost through speakers with so much happening though out the first track "Cherish My Memory". I am not to sure if it because I have heard so many female fronted bands on this same level, but after a while for me the ride was soon over. This is the bands sixth studio album and I am starting to wonder what they would sound like with out the keyboards. The are just drowning out the rest off the band throughout the tracks. Don't get me wrong the Guitar solo's are very powerful, but a guitar should never be drowned out by a keyboard.
I hate to say this as I know that there are many fans of the Femme-Metal world, but for me this album is the same as most Symphonic Metal bands out there, and the genre is flooded with them.
