3 Legged Dogg
Frozen Summer
January 2007
Released: 2006, Perris Records
Rating: 3.0/5
Reviewer: Celtic Bob

Former DIO bandmates, Vinny Appice and Jimmy Bain, decided to combine their musical abilities and form a powerhouse band. Once they heard Chas West's vocals and Brian Young's guitar work, the foundation was set. They then got their good friend Carlos Cavazo on board and the line up was complete, 3 Legged Dogg was born.

A great hard rock album with some viciously melodic vocals. With a voice like that it is no wonder Vinny and Jimmy got Chas to join the band. His style and bound works well with this type of music. He can be mellow and soulful as well as heavy and intense. Musically it has a slight tinge of Soundgarden to it, but still remains unique. Everyone in the band is talented and each add their own style to create this music trip. Songs like "Rain On My Parade" and "Longway Back From Hell " are a couple of standout tracks on this relatively short disc.
