WARBRINGER have just successfully completed a 7-week (!) North America tour supporting metal titans ICED EARTH and SYMPHONY X, but they are ready to be back on the road again soon! For their next North American tour, the band will join DESTRUCTION, VITAL REMAINS, and PATHOLOGY from May 8th to June 3rd, and after that, they’ll appear at various high-profile Summer festival appearances in Europe. Vocalist John Kevill checked in to comment about these upcoming shows:

“Hey all! Checking in at the end of the ICED EARTH and SYMPHONY X tour. We had a great time with those guys, there was a slew of incredible shows with awesome heavy metal fans in abundance, and a bunch of good times with both of those fine bands! Shame to say goodbye to them, but we’re on our way home now to recuperate before beginning out next tour with German thrash metal legends DESTRUCTION, on their 30th anniversary tour!  We never rest long, the war rages on!  We’ll see you guys out on the road again in May, prepare to be annihilated!

We’re also very excited about the way our summer is shaping up. We have about a dozen European festivals confirmed and we look forward to sharing some amazing experiences ravaging the large crowds, big stages and all the fun times to be had with all the other great bands also performing.”

WARBRINGER guitarist Adam Carroll departs the band, Andrew Bennett steps in

January 30th, 2012

Warbringer on FacebookAs WARBRINGER begins their North American tour supporting ICED EARTH and SYMPHONY X this week, it has been revealed that longtime guitarist Adam Carroll has decided to leave the band and last weekend’s shows supporting DEATH ANGEL were his last.

“To all fans and friends, I, Adam Carroll, have officially quit WARBRINGER. I have financial issues at home that have to be addressed sooner than later. I hope you all can understand and respect my decision. It’s been some of the best years of my life and I appreciate all the support you the fans have given us and continue to give. I will forever be part of the WARBRINGER family. Many thanks and until I see the rest of you again, keep the metal alive. Cheers!”

The band enlisted friend and talented, young guitarist Andrew Bennett for the purpose of filling in live for this tour with the hope that he may become a permanent member of the group as he continues his audition process where it matters most– on the stage and in the van.

Comments Andrew Bennett, “Last month I received a message from the guys, which basically stated that Adam was requesting to step out. As a result, they were searching for a possible replacement who could learn the material in time for the upcoming ICED EARTH and SYMPHONY X tour.  I jumped at the opportunity and started learning some tracks. Around the beginning of this month I went down and jammed with the guys and the rest is history. I am eternally grateful to my friends in WARBRINGER for giving me the opportunity to play with them and I am very excited about what the future may hold. But, one thing that I would like to make clear is that I don’t view myself as Adam’s replacement, as much as I view myself as filling the position instead of him. Adam’s work with the band and time with them is not something that can be erased and I would just like to make it clear that I respect him greatly. He has left big shoes to fill and I have a lot of work ahead of me if I am going to honor his legacy with the band. I’m looking forward to interacting with, and playing for the fans on the road! It’s time to shred!”

ARCH ENEMY @ Shepherd’s Bush Empire

December 28th, 2011

Arch Enemy @ Shepherd’s Bush Empire with Chthonic and Warbringer

6th  December 2011

Review by James Griffiths

Photography by Graham Hilling

It’s a very cold Tuesday night in Sheppard’s Bush but that hasn’t deterred the army of metallers queuing up outside of the Sheppard’s Bush Empire well over an hour before the doors open. Personally, I found it much easier to plant myself in the pub next door where its warm and cosy and can drink a few beers before the bands start!

7:30pm and the doors have opened and the queue diminishes very fast and the venue soon begins to fill out just in time for tonight’s first band.

WARBRINGER gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at the making-of their new music video, “Shattered Like Glass”!

September 8th, 2011
Warbringer on FacebookFor those that have been waiting patiently for new WARBRINGER content before the September 27th release of their upcoming album, “Worlds Torn Asunder”, the band is now giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at the making-of their upcoming music video, “Shattered Like Glass”! Rather than churn out the “standard” live-in-an-abandoned-warehouse music video, WARBRINGER decided to give “Shattered Like Glass” a horror movie treatment with help from Director Dave Vorhes (http://www.bigfootage.net/) and actor Don Danielson (http://imdb.to/pbbfcn). To get your first preview of the music video, click the link below to see the making-of “Shattered Like Glass”, filmed and edited by WARBRINGER’s own John Laux (guitar)!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPf2Uato5l4

In regards to this behind-the-scenes video clip, John Laux comments, “We are very excited about the latest and greatest official WARBRINGER promo video clip! We had a great experience working with director Dave Vorhes and his team. They used a number of DIY style tricks to create a very unique and professional environment for the ‘Shattered Like Glass’ video. We had a blast using smoke and mirrors to escape the trappings of another metal warehouse video. The aim is to have a very dark, horror movie kind of feel in this video. We’re looking forward to seeing the finished edited clip, which will be out before our new album is released Sept. 27th.”

The music video for “Shattered Like Glass” will be posted online in the coming weeks, so stay tuned! More new material from WARBRINGER will be available soon! WARBRINGER Reveals ‘Worlds Torn Asunder’ Album Artwork

July 16th, 2011
WARBRINGER - 'Worlds Torn Asunder'

WARBRINGER - 'Worlds Torn Asunder'

From years of relentless touring, WARBRINGER have become known as one of the hardest working bands in metal, as well as a ferocious live act-and they bring all of that raw aggression into the creation of their third album, “Worlds Torn Asunder”, scheduled for a September 26th release in Europe (September 27th in the US).

“Worlds Torn Asunder” was produced and mixed by the renowned Steve Evetts (Suicide Silence, Dillinger Escape Plan), and features artwork by none less than Dan Seagrave, who designed WARBRINGER’s previous album cover as well as such legendary acts as Entombed, Malevolent Creation, Suffocation, and Morbid Angel. In regards to their upcoming release, WARBRINGER vocalist John Kevill has this to say about the artwork:

“The concept behind “Worlds Torn Asunder” was the decline of our existing world at the hands of the human race. The artwork depicts the world literally being torn and we wanted to include the setting in the cosmos along with a darker ‘higher’ force lurking behind the shadows. We had worked with Dan Seagrave before on “Waking Into Nightmares” and were very comfortable with the way he expressed himself. He’s been the artist for many bands we love and are inspired by.”

The album’s first single, “Living Weapon”, will be released in the coming weeks, but in the meantime, fans can check out WARBRINGER’s official youtube page for a behind-the-scenes look at the making of “Worlds Torn Asunder”! http://www.youtube.com/user/WarbringerOfficial?blend=7&ob=5

The track-list for “Worlds Torn Asunder” reads as follows:

1. Living Weapon

2. Shattered Like Glass

3. Wake Up…Destroy

4. Future Ages Gone

5. Savagery

6. Treacherous Tongue

7. Echoes From The Void

8. Enemies of the State

9. Behind the Veils of Night (instrumental)

10. Demonic Ecstasy

WARBRINGER enter studio to record new album; announce West Coast tour dates

June 16th, 2011

WARBRINGER have been working on new material since coming off the road in late November and entered the recording studio on Monday, April 18th. Producing this time will be Steve Evetts, who has an impressive resume working with bands as diverse as Dillinger Escape Plan and Symphony X to Sepultura and Hatebreed.

“Our goal with this record is to make something beyond a run-of-the-mill metal CD,” explains guitarist John Laux, “The most difficult challenge is always finding just the right balance between a raw, aggressive sound and modern production standards. We chose Evetts to produce, aside from his extensive resume, because he aims for very organic and bold sounds. His experience in bringing the best out from a wide variety from musicians across different genres of music can be seen in his credits and this speaks for itself.”

The band has learned a lot in the two years since the release of 2009’s Waking Into Nightmares . Since the group has continued to relentlessly tour the globe with a variety of artists, they have become known as one of the hardest working bands in metal as well as a ferocious live act-and they bring all of that into the creation of their third album. In addition, the new album sees the addition of drummer Carlos Cruz who’s had a lot of input into the new material.

“Musically and thematically I feel confident that this will be respected as our most mature offering to date,” states John Laux. “I am really proud of all the elements of extreme metal we have been able to incorporate into the songs. There is weight and purpose behind the lyrics and most importantly we have had time to put a lot of thought and care into the music.”

Having twice as much time to write and record the album further proves this point. The band was able to demo out a lot of ideas by jamming in their garage, as witnessed in the recent video from their practice session (see below). More video reports will come from the studio as the guys lay down tracks for their most epic metal release yet.

“Stay tuned everyone,” closes John Laux before adding, “We’ll be laying out a ‘stone cold stunner’ on you with our riffs soon enough!”

WARBRINGER will be hitting the West Coast this summer, so check the tour dates below to see when they’ll be coming to a city near you.

WARBRINGER Announce New Drummer

February 23rd, 2011

Despite practicing and writing together the last two months WARBRINGER today make it publically official that Carlos Cruz (Hexen) is their new drummer. The delay in announcement was out of respect to their old drummer and Carlos’ former band mates and there was no question about Carlos’ playing, songwriting or personality as the band ironically offered Carlos the spot in 2008.

“After years of putting forth nothing but blood, sweat, and tears into my tireless ambitions for playing music, I have finally found an outlet where no more time is wasted. It was flattering to have been approached by Warbringer the first time they made a personnel change in 2008, but this time around it couldn’t have felt more like perfect timing,” states Carlos. “They’re a collective group of humble, open-minded, down-to-earth guys who share the same fanaticism for music as I do and are the tightest musicians I have ever played with. I’ve never felt so welcomed and inspired to move forward. Even past members of the band have congratulated me and it feels very much like family, not just another band. From some recent serious downfalls in my personal life came this beautiful opportunity and I couldn’t be happier. We’ll be seeing all YOU Warbringers out on the road soon!”

Fans can see Carlos playing with the guys at his live debut in Mexico City on March 5th at the Eyescream Festival alongside Asesino, Anvil, Toxic Holocaust and Abigail Williams. WARBRINGER plan to record their third album in April with more live shows in May and June.
