After the posting of 2 columns from Alex, we received a response from another metalhead in < ?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Iraq, Mustafa. The difference this time is that he’s not a soldier but a citizen living in Iraq! We asked Mustafa if we could post his message and asked if he’d like to add anything else…below are his words. We think it’s very cool to know that there are ‘brothers of metal’ even in Iraq so we’d like to give our readers the opportunity to hear what it is like to be a metalhead in this kind of a situation. It should put into perspective little things like being unable to find a certain CD or the release that costs a couple of bucks too much. Thank the metal gods we don’t all have to struggle though a situation like Mustafa finds himself in.
If you have any questions on the column, send them here.
