With their first two album “Onwards” and “The Road Less Travelled”, Norwegian (female-fronted) metal band TRIOSPHERE gained a fantastic reputation worldwide. They shared the stage with bands such as Nightwish, Jorn, Arch Enemy and many others. Especially after their latest album “The Road Less Travelled”, which was released in May 2010, the band around vocalist/bass player Ida Haukland, was busy touring Europe. First with Crimson Glory, then with Kamelot and lately with Sonata Arctica.
Also Haukland took part in the Epysode project, where she sang a.o. a duet with Evergrey’s Tom S. Englund (on the album “Fantasmagoria” from 2013).
Now TRIOSPHERE are finally back with a brand new piece of work, titled “The Heart Of The Matter”. Even more confident, unique and improved, the band delivers a slice of high-class melodic metal music, cleverly mixing power metal, progressive metal and a few contemporary rock elements to forge their very own sound. “The Heart Of The Matter” was mixed and mastered by acclaimed Jens Bogren (a.o. Opeth, Paradise Lost, Symphony X, Amon Amarth, Kreator) at Fascination Street studios, Sweden.
Norway’s best female-fronted metal band, TRIOSPHERE, has completed work on their new album. Almost four and a half years after “The Road Less Travelled” and following European tours with Kamelot, Sonata Arctica and Crimson Glory, TRIOSPHERE’s highly-anticipated new album “The Heart Of The Matter” will finally be released on November 7th.
Norwegian female-fronted melodic metal band TRIOSPHERE has released an official video clip for their song “Marionette”. The track is taken from the band’s latest effort “The Road Less Travelled”, which was unleashed two years ago.
Vocalist/bassist Ida Haukland comments:
“From the Triosphere-camp we can finally announce that we are releasing the first official video from our critically acclaimed sophomore album “The Road Less Travelled” (AFM Records). We’ve had the honor of being featured on various compilations around the world with the songs “Driven” and “Human Condition” from the album, but the choice for the first official video landed on a song on the album that we’ve considered as somewhat of a “wildcard”; a song that differs from the others, and that seems to have touched listeners in a different and exiting way. But most of all; a song with a dense, powerful emotion and atmosphere that lent itself to an exciting visual presentation. On behalf of all in the band; we are quite satisfied with the result, and hope our fans will enjoy it!
The release of this video also marks the beginning of the end of the promotion of “The Road Less Travelled”. We have been quite busy for the last months writing new material for our third album, and are intensifying the process with the plan of releasing it early 2013.
Stay tuned for news and updates on both studio and touring at our official websites www.thetriosphere.com.”
There was already a large crowd outside eagerly queuing for tonight’s gig when we arrived, with the doors opening exceptionally early for a gig, I was surprised to see the venue packed so early in the evening! With fans blocking the stairways inside desperately trying to get to the merchandise section, this was not the best place to have it, but it didn’t take long until we were inside!
