KISS KRUISE V
Oct 28 – Nov 3 2015
REVIEW AND PHOTOS BY MARKO SYRJALA
KISS Kruise is an annual festival which is held on a most luxurious cruise liner in the Caribbean. The event brings together the band’s most loyal and die-hard fans around the world. What makes this event unique, is the fact that fans can hear rarities and obscure songs that the band does not play elsewhere. The band is also very interactive with fans. Everyone has access, for example, to get a picture with the band and everyone will get signed memorabilia. The band members are involved in various activities. Paul Stanley was cooking pizza in front of people and Gene Simmons and his family were judges in belly flop contest. Tommy Thayer played guitar solos and the competitors tried to recognize the solos and Eric Singer was judging “almost famous” competition where KISS cover bands were playing against each other. The whole Kruise is about KISS, of course, but the line-up also included many other great bands and artists. This year included: Steel Panther, Lita Ford, Fozzy, Dead Daisies, and a number of smaller bands. This report is a synopsis of KISS Kruise V including the concerts and other interesting events. Read on!

TONIGHT, Nov. 25th 2015, Steve Vai, Billy Sheehan and drummer Gregg Bissonette will reunite at Lucky Strike Live in Hollywood, California, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of David Lee Roth’s Eat ‘Em and Smile album with a one-time-only show.
They’ll be joined by guest vocalist Ralph Saenz, also known as Steel Panther’s Michael Starr.

The hairspray filled time machine coming straight from the 80s landed in Newcastle and I could sense while standing in queue the excitement and enthusiasm. Yes, Steel Panther were in town and the “All You Can Eat” tour is surely, something you cannot miss, whether you are an 80s rock fan or not.
(New York, NY) – Rockers Steel Panther have been confirmed for a United States headlining run of tour dates in December. Steel Panther is currently bringing their raucous show to North American audiences on tour as main support for iconic metallers Judas Priest. Immediately following the Judas Priest tour, Steel Panther will make a quick jaunt to Japan for two shows and then will return to the United States to begin their December headlining run, rounding off a very hectic, successful year. Please see below for a complete list of 2014 tour dates. In other Steel Panther news, fans worldwide can check out the brand new video for “Pussywhipped” here.
ICO concerts, one of the biggest concert organizers in Scandinavia brings back the American cult classic glam/sleaze act Steel Panther to Denmark. The band has been support act to Def Lepard, Motley Crue and Guns N Roses. Steel Panther threw a sold out concert at Amager Bio in February 2014 and now it’s time for the band to once again conquer Denmark.
It was a secret show; announced on the Social Network and promoted as the band name Jam Prancer, but those in the know were quick to share that the band was none other than the historically and politically incorrect kings of sexual perversion – Steel Panther. Known for their well rehearsed debauchery and having less than just six months ago given up their residency at the House Of Blues Hollywood, the news from the band was that the North American bus tour would keep them from returning to Hollywood for the foreseeable future. On Wednesday, August 13th, it was clear that the band would not miss the opportunity to return and celebrate with the long standing establishment that continues to dominate the Sunset Strip’s performance scene, the Viper Room and it’s 21st Anniversary Week of shows.
Check out the above interview where we get to hear about Richie and how he almost missed the email about joining the band! They talk about the new album, metal fans, and music. The new Judas Priest album,

The air smells like hair spray and there are more wigs and thighs wrapped in tight lycra than you will ever find in Cher’s wardrobe. In the air flows blow up penises and dolls. Is this a bad dream? No, this is normality in the world of California rockers, Steel Panther.

Steel Panther was, for a long time, rock’s best-kept secret: a cult legend on the LA scene. But in recent years due to the success of their albums (both debuted at #1 on the Billboard Comedy Album Charts), and live shows, the band has enjoyed huge acclaim from fans and peers alike. Steel Panther has been joined on stage by rock and roll icons such as Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, Paul Stanley of KISS, Corey Taylor of Slipknot, Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine/Audioslave, Chester Bennington of Linkin Park and Green Day to name a few. Steel Panther has also been seen on Dancing With The Stars, Bad Girl’s Club and most recently in a national web campaign for Warner Brothers Pictures hit film, Rock Of Ages.
