KISS Kruise is an annual festival which is held on a most luxurious cruise liner in the Caribbean. The event brings together the band’s most loyal and die-hard fans around the world. What makes this event unique, is the fact that fans can hear rarities and obscure songs that the band does not play elsewhere. The band is also very interactive with fans. Everyone has access, for example, to get a picture with the band and everyone will get signed memorabilia. The band members are involved in various activities. Paul Stanley was cooking pizza in front of people and Gene Simmons and his family were judges in belly flop contest. Tommy Thayer played guitar solos and the competitors tried to recognize the solos and Eric Singer was judging “almost famous” competition where KISS cover bands were playing against each other. The whole Kruise is about KISS, of course, but the line-up also included many other great bands and artists. This year included: Steel Panther, Lita Ford, Fozzy, Dead Daisies, and a number of smaller bands. This report is a synopsis of KISS Kruise V including the concerts and other interesting events. ICO concerts, one of the biggest concert organizers in Scandinavia brings back the American cult classic glam/sleaze act Steel Panther to Denmark. The band has been support act to Def Lepard, Motley Crue and Guns N Roses. Steel Panther threw a sold out concert at Amager Bio in February 2014 and now it’s time for the band to once again conquer Denmark.
It was a secret show; announced on the Social Network and promoted as the band name Jam Prancer, but those in the know were quick to share that the band was none other than the historically and politically incorrect kings of sexual perversion – Steel Panther. Known for their well rehearsed debauchery and having less than just six months ago given up their residency at the House Of Blues Hollywood, the news from the band was that the North American bus tour would keep them from returning to Hollywood for the foreseeable future. On Wednesday, August 13th, it was clear that the band would not miss the opportunity to return and celebrate with the long standing establishment that continues to dominate the Sunset Strip’s performance scene, the Viper Room and it’s 21st Anniversary Week of shows.
Check out the above interview where we get to hear about Richie and how he almost missed the email about joining the band! They talk about the new album, metal fans, and music. The new Judas Priest album,

Steel Panther has been joined on stage by rock and roll icons such as Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, Paul Stanley of KISS, Corey Taylor of Slipknot, Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine/Audioslave, Chester Bennington of Linkin Park and Green Day to name a few. Steel Panther has also been seen on Dancing With The Stars, Bad Girl’s Club and most recently in a national web campaign for Warner Brothers Pictures hit film, Rock Of Ages.

I love hair metal, and I’m not afraid to say it. My love for it goes back to discovering Mӧtley Crϋe at 13 years old, and delving into the whole world of the 80s glam scene as a result. It was pure rock’n’roll fun, and I got my best friends into it, and we ran around like little hair-metal chickies and thumbed our noses at all the kids listening to Panic! At the Disco. So I consider hair metal to be my metal “roots”, if you will, because it steered me on the path of good music at an impressionable age. Now, the only thing that makes me happier than seeing guys in kilts and war-paint onstage is seeing a stage full of guys with giant hair and shiny spandex pants. I’m even the proud owner of the “American Hair Metal encyclopedia”, which will always have a cherished space on my decorative bookshelf. Read the rest of this entry »
