 Kreator
Kreator are known within the thrash metal community as something of legends, with their fast electric musical panache and flair for ferocious lyrics. They have become a corner stone of influence across the European scene as well as further afield. Tonight the German masters are accompanied by speedballs SSS, re-formed veterans, Xentrix and the up and rising metal troupe Evile.

British crossover thrashers SSS are due to feature in an episode of a new music series called “No Sleep Till”, brought to you by Vice and Vans.
No Sleep Till offers a candid, fly-on-the-wall view of life on tour, through the eyes of four of the most explosive bands on the circuit. The series follows SSS, CEREBRAL BALLZY, THE BRONX and TRASH TALK for 24 hours each, giving fans an inside view of the guys behind the bands, the music they’ve dedicated their lives to making, and the fun, carnage and chaos involved in being a band on tour.
SSS bassist MARK MAGILL comments:
“Vice Magazine and Vans asked us if they could follow us around for a day. We said yes, they pointed their cameras at us and we wished we lived a life of rock ‘n’ roll excess, so that we’d be more interesting to watch than the normal people we actually are. We discovered that we’re pretty good at clay pigeon shooting and North Wales is very depressing in December. We didn’t win at bingo, either.”

British crossover thrashers SSS have revealed that NAPALM DEATH frontman BARNEY GREENWAY will appear as a guest vocalist on the band’s forthcoming new album, titled PROBLEMS TO THE ANSWER.
GREENWAY performs guest vocals on the tracks “The Kill Floor”, “Here Comes The Neighbourhood” and “Roar”. PROBLEMS TO THE ANSWER is due to be released in Europe on June 6th and in North America on July 12th.
NAPALM DEATH frontman BARNEY GREENWAY comments on his guest appearance:
“Foxy really knows his musical onions and when he had some parts for me to do, I knew it was going to be a gas. The main part had a Discharge-y feel to it, so I was sold on that instantly. Went in, shouted, went home. No fucking about. Good stuff.”
SSS frontman FOXY comments:
“Barney was on a shortlist of one – it was him or no one. Knew he’d be into the direction of our latest musical outing and the stance the songs take were right up his street. Some serious barking was required and his dulcet tones didn’t disappoint.”

British crossover thrashers SSS recently finished recording their new album, PROBLEMS TO THE ANSWER, which is due to be released later this year on Earache Records.
SSS frontman FOXY discusses the artwork for the forthcoming new album:
“Finally we have some art! Our good friend PUTRID did it for us (www.putridgore.com). No airbrushed neon unicorn slop here. It’s straight up black and white pen and ink. The art shows two dogs, they are joined and are fighting against themselves. No matter which way they turn, they can never escape each other. They’re going round in circles, trying to survive, putting up with aggravation on the way. The back of the record shows the outcome to this life-cycle situation.”

SSS recently released a new track from PROBLEMS TO THE ANSWER, to give fans a taster of what’s to come from the album.
FOXY discusses the new track, titled “Painting By Numbers”:
“Painting by Numbers deals with learning through memorization and repetition. It’s about going through the motions, going up to the borders of what’s expected and not beyond. The same elements being cut and pasted into a different order appear new but are really the same, tired and watered down. Memorize, learn, repeat, stagnate.
“Nothing should ever be a given – break down imposed barriers and always scrawl over the lines.”

British crossover thrashers SSS recently finished recording their forthcoming new album, which is due to be released later this year on Earache Records.
The new album, titled PROBLEMS TO THE ANSWER, was recorded at Whitewood Studios in the band’s home town of Liverpool and is produced by ROB WHITELEY along with SSS bassist MARK MAGILL.
SSS frontman FOXY explains the title of the new album:
“The title PROBLEMS TO THE ANSWER gives outspoken practical solutions to problems faced in everyday life. External factors shape not only today, but yesterday and into tomorrow. SSS attempts to provide answers – for better or worse – in our most vicious recording to date.”

SSS "MERRY CHRISTMASSS" FREE SONG AVAILABLE
British crossover thrashers SSS are spreading some festive metal cheer by offering you a free song, titled “Merry ChristmaSSS”.
It’s that time of the year again and the Liverpool thrashers have taken time out of their schedule to think of others and give you all a special treat with a free song to see you through the holiday period.
Download “Merry ChristmaSSS” now for free at http://www.earache.com/xmaSSS
SSS frontman FOXY discusses all things Christmas:
Q: Why have you done a free Christmas song?
FOXY: “We are following in the footsteps of some of the greatest Christmas songs ever written from yesteryear – Slade, Wizzard, Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole, Shakin’ Stevens, FEAR and Band Aid. They have all placed themselves firmly in our hearts and on cheap Christmas compilation CDs at this time of year. Now here’s our meagre festive rattler that will be played for years to come at family discos.”
Q: Are you a bit of a scrooge?
FOXY: “I enjoy this time of year as the winter season, the freezing cold, the early nights and to bring some light in the darkest time of the year, reflecting on the year and looking forward to the forthcoming one. I’m up for that.
“I just don’t like or enjoy the way that it’s been turned into an obligation, a pious deception, an ugly time of over-consumption, bickering and waste. The materials to make and deliver 10 million Christmas cards is off the scale. 7.75 million trees to be cut down to prop up fairies for two weeks, 10 million turkeys will roast into oblivion, wasting 3,000 tons of foil in the cooking process. In excess of 20 billion will be used on credit cards with many families turning to high interest and “doorstep lenders” to cover any shortfall. 135,000 tons of waste plastic alone, waste wrapping paper (82km^2) to wrap up Guernsey in, with a high proportion ending in a landfill as opposed to being recycled. What’s worse than this type of Christmas? On some levels Scrooge was right.”

British crossover thrashers SSS have recently returned home after completing their “Wreck and Annoy” headlining European tour and have posted a tour debrief on their blog page.
SSS frontman FOXY looks back on the tour:
“Wreck and Annoy tour has had its share of ups and downs, the good and the bad and great we have digested and relished. Tour is what it is, we love it.”
SSS have been keeping track of all of the fun and antics of life on the road on their new tour diary blog page. Read the band’s tour debrief and look back at their recent adventures at http://sssliverpool.blogspot.com
The name of SSS’s “Wreck and Annoy” tour also wasn’t without irony, as the band’s frontman, FOXY, broke his foot while skateboarding in Pinkafeld, Austria. That didn’t slow down the frontman, however, as he soldiered on for the remaining shows of the tour, performing each night on crutches.
Check out a hilarious video of FOXY making the most of his broken foot as he spends a day out using a mobility scooter at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s45abYN31Zc
