SONIC SYNDICATE – Watch the Video That Resulted in the Deletion of their Facebook Profile

October 4th, 2010

The music video from Sweden’s SONIC SYNDICATE for the latest single ‘Turn It Up!’ from the album We Rule the Night has now been leaked onto YouTube and other video resources. Due to the offensive content of the clip it has been taken offline as quickly as it is being uploaded in most places.

After posting the video on their Facebook profile, the social networking group has deleted the band’s account, stating:

Facebook: You posted content that violates Facebook’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities (this includes any obscene, pornographic, or sexually explicit photos, as well as any photos that depict graphic violence. We also remove content, photo or written, that threatens, intimidates, harasses, or brings unwanted attention or embarrassment to an individual or group of people)

Swedish national newspaper Expressen picked up on the story, posting the following article here.

Frontman Nathan J Boggs comments:

“Our new video entitled ‘Turn It Up’ seems to have been prematurely released all over the world wide web. Within just a few short hours the video spread to a countless number of websites and was banned on 90 % of all websites which include a permanent deletion of our official Facebook page.

When we filmed this video we of course we wanted to make a video that would shock the world and what better way to do it then with sex, drugs, blood and rock and roll!

But, along with the video comes some very strong lyrical content that takes us way deeper then what you’re acutely visualizing in the new video.

We hope that everyone can take one step back and remember that along with a new video comes a new song which indeed has lyrics and meaning,

Sonic Syndicate in no way supports alcohol abuse or drug usage. Turn it Up is no doubt a party song and designed to be the soundtrack to a great night out. However, the lyrics hold a deeper meaning and are based on a true story of a girl who has gone into a downward spiral of addiction and self destruction hurting herself and those around her. We purposely made a video to be entertaining but we also want to highlight these negativities with hopes of making people think before they go to far.”

In Flames / Gojira / Sonic Syndicate – Astoria, London

October 6th, 2008

In Flames

with Gojira and Sonic Syndicate

The Astoria, London

1st October 2008

All live pics and review by HannTu

I think In Flames last toured the UK with the Unholy Alliance ’06. Since then they have released an album, A SENSE OF PURPOSE, which carried on in pretty much the same vein as their last three albums since REROUTE TO REMAIN. Although I firmly believe that their earlier stuff (THE JESTER RACE and WHORACLE especially) was better, the Astoria was still packed out with young In Flames fans.

Amon Amarth / Himsa / Sonic Syndicate – Live in NYC: 12/3/07

Amon Amarth

Sonic Syndicate

The Fillmore @ Irving Plaza

New York, NY

* Live review and photos by Shaq

In the past few years, Amon Amarth has been taking North America by storm.  After two separate tours opening for Children of Bodom and releasing a DVD that went gold in both the United States and Canada, it was finally time for the vikings to headline their own tour.  Unfortunately, the bands chosen to open for them were not really an ideal choice and were certainly not going to go over well with the Amon Amarth fan base.  Originally, Decapitated was supposed to be in the direct support slot, but the recent bus accident that took the life of drummer Vitek forced them to drop off.  Opening bands aside, this was a tour that many of us waited years to see, and finally the chance was upon us.

Wacken 2007

October 9th, 2007

Wacken Open Air 2007

Wacken is a blessed mecca of the whole metal world. Again this year it was entirely sold out when ten thousands of metal manics travelled from all around the world to gather and witness plenty of ass kicking bands. The weather forecast for Wacken didn’t look that promising. The chaotic and muddy mess caused by long and heavy rains rampaged the ground during the whole summer. The  festival often provides a survival test to every visitor with its mud and crap. But but gods of metal had seen the light and blessed the whole three day metal inferno with tremendous extreme heat and a sunny weekend. Things could not be better…sun, metal and beer. That combination is nothing but an utter perfect way to enjoy the metallic mayhem at Wacken.

As usual, the true metal commando team from Metal-Rules.Com was there again witnessing a helluva lot of great bands and above all an unexpected huge fire in the main area. Feel, see and enjoy this article.
