From the gutters of south Sweden, Liv “Sin” Jagrell emerged as a major force as the vocalist for hard rockers Sister Sin. Throughout their 13 year career, Sister Sin sold thousands of albums and toured the world with high profile tours supporting the likes of Slayer and King Diamond on the Rockstar Mayhem festival tour, as well as being a part of the Revolver Magazine”Hottest Chicks in Metal” tour.Sister Sin toured relentlessly for over a decade across Europe and North America garnering an intensely loyal following of rockers that craved the band’s aggressive and melodic brand of hard rock.
When Sister Sin called it quits at the end of 2015, Liv knew that she had much more to give to her fans. From this, LIV SIN was born. Liv is currently working on a new music that shows the power, sexiness, and attitude that she is known for. Liv says ”for me it has never been an option to stop singing. I live for the stage and for my fans. I still miss Sister Sin, but I am very excited to work on my own project, and I can promise it will not be some soft pop rock. This is going to be metal deluxe, because that’s who I am!” LIV SIN offers a modernized hard rock sound to take Liv into her next phase, a sound that is destined to please both new fans and her longtime fans of Sister Sin.
We know this may come as a surprise to many of you; honestly, it kinda took us by surprise too. What was supposed to be a short eight weeks break, suddenly & unfortunately, turned in to the demise of the band.
-We have been touring and recording in a relentless schedule since 2008 and I guess we burned the candle in both ends and hit a wall. When we finally had the opportunity to step back and get some perspective, the motivation for some members in the band just wasn’t there any more…
Would like to take this opportunity and thank our beloved road crew, Victory Rec, Danger Music, Artery Foundation, TKO & all other great people and companies we worked with these past seven years as a professional touring act.
Most of all we would like to thank YOU; Our dedicated, devoted, loving and caring fans around the globe! We´ve truly been blessed to be able to travel the world and meet so very many of you Sinners. -Together we managed to sell tens of thousands of albums and achieve what most young bands only can dream of in this day and age.
You truly are the sole reason we pushed on for as long as we did and we will cherish the memories forever and never forget your unconditional love!
It is our hope that the flame will burn once again and hopefully resurrect this Swedish bastard sometime in the future. Time will tell…

Here’s a new interview with the Swedish metal band Sister Sin. They’ve just released a new album BLACK LOTUS earlier this year and its the bands 5th album. The band have raged on tour all over Europe but they did found time to do a interview with me and Metal-Rules.com. I spoke with the bands drummer Dave Sundberg and singer Liv Jagrell and here follows what they had to say about the new album, labels, future and the past. If you like metal with punk attitude, you have to check out this band right now.
Skogsrojet is one of these newer hard rock / metal festivals organized in the promised land of festivals, Sweden. The two day event is held in the outlying village of Rejmyre and the nearest town is Norrkoping about 40 kilometers away. The festival was held for the first time in 2006 and it has been increasing steadily year by year. Last years line-up included Alice Cooper, Doro, Testament and L.A. Guns and now the fans were treated to Twisted Sister, Helloween, Pretty Maids and Lita Ford. As you can see from the list of names, the event organizers rely heavily on traditional hard rock spiced with a few heavier acts. I don’t know if this kind of concept would work anywhere else, but in Sweden, but it works. This year, the festival again gathered thousands of participants who were eager to rock hard!!!
Swedish heavy metal band SISTER SIN has released “End Of The Line”, the first single from their forthcoming album “Now and Forever“. Make sure to be one of the first to hear one of this year’s best heavy metal songs, now available digitally.
Since 2002, SISTER SIN has worked hard to earn their position as one of the hardest working bands in metal. Amongst the hundreds of stages played, SISTER SIN has been able to share the spotlight with monumental acts such as MOTORHEAD, DORO, OTEP, ACCEPT and ALICE COOPER. They are a serious testament to the raucous spirit of true Heavy Metal.
“SISTER SIN’s leather lunged style is raw and powerful…tuneful and utterly captivating”, says Outburn. Download the track oniTunes /Amazon and watch the album teaser here. Their third full length for Victory “Now and Forever“, mixed by Cameron Webb (Motörhead, Danzig, Social Distortion) will be released on October 23. Revolver comments, “An abundance of chugging, libidinous riffs, blazing leads and shrill, attitude-soaked vocals reminiscent of early Motley Crue”. If you want REAL metal – here it is.
