New Jersey metallists Seven Witches are ready to assault your senses once again, with a fierce new album, ‘The Way of the Wicked.’ Comprised of singer Anthony Cross, guitarist Jack Frost, bassist Ronnie Parkes, and drummer Johnny Kelly, Seven Witches picks up exactly where their hard-hitting last album left off, 2013’s ‘Rebirth.’ And this is especially apparent in the album’s second video, “World Without Man.”
“When I got the demo version of the music, I knew these were the lyrics I wanted to use for it,” recalls Cross. “The opening line was something that I had jotted down some time ago. ‘How would it be, if one day, man no longer was?'”
“Think about it….you’ve seen documentaries that show you that if human life ceased to exist, the planet would start to heal. Lyrically, this is where this came from. I’m also a big fan of the Richard Matheson story, ‘I Am Legend,’ so that fed into it as well. So really, if everyone and everything was gone, how would you go on with your life?”

And according to Cross, his songwriting union with Frost is already a career highlight. “Writing with Jack Frost is a treat! He will usually come up with suggestions and ideas that I would never think of. And in the end we are both happy with the result.” And the union is already paying off, as evidenced by the song “World Without Man,” and the full-length ‘The Way of the Wicked.’
American metal stalwarts Seven Witches are set to release their ninth studio album, the first for new label home FrostByte Media; REBIRTH is due out on July 16th in North America. James Rivera’s METAL ASYLUM — A Tribute To His History & True Metal
Houston, Texas-based national recording artist James Rivera (HELSTAR, MALICE) has formed a new project entitled METAL ASYLUM, which is slated to be launched in February 2012. The concept of METAL ASYLUM was inspired by two of Rivera’s previous endeavors; the first tribute band the singer ever created entitled “Project Rivera”, which was a tribute to classic 80’s metal, in addition to a more recent specialty show of his known as “James Rivera, A Tribute To His Metal History”. The front man has recruited several quality local Houston musicians to perform material from his own music career, in addition to fan favorites from the forerunners of classic and true metal. Audiences can expect to witness Rivera and company’s renditions of the Scorpions, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Mercyful Fate, Metal Church, plus many others! Currently three regional Texas shows are scheduled to take place early this year in San Antonio, College Station and Houston. James Rivera’s METAL ASYLUM promises to deliver a pulse-pounding, headbanging, horns in the air experience for every metalhead!

SEVEN WITCHES will be supporting legendary metallers ARMORED SAINT on three special East Coast dates later this fall.
Commented Frost: “I am stoked to do this run of dates with my brothers in Armored Saint. This is a killer paring for the East Coast, but for me it’s a dream come true. Not only am I a fan of Saint’s music, but there are so many family ties with those guys since Joey Vera for several years played bass — on albums and live — in SEVEN WITCHES and he has mastered, engineered, and/or mixed on all the WITCHES albums since Exiled To Infinity And One in 2002. It’s gonna be a fun night and WITCHES will try our best to warm you all up for the mighty Saint. This is also a very special for us because it will be a one-time run with this special lineup. We will be playing new music from our latest album Call Upon The Wicked, the classics we are known for, plus dusting off a few we haven’t played in a while.”

Every member of the band plays an integral role in the biting sound offered on Call Upon The Wicked.”

We also want to tip our hats to the fellow metalheads out there with open minds willing to give a listen to a great new record. Call Upon The Wicked is our latest project, a concept record that was a work in progress. I’m so proud to be releasing such an amazing product of our dedication. The time it took to put out this new addition to the ‘WITCHES family, along with the blood, sweat and tears it took to make it, has been nothing but a wonderful experience for us. This album really captured a dream for me, as it is combination of classic SEVEN WITCHES style mixed with many of our greatest influences. I can honestly say that our fans will truly understand the devotion and loyalty we have shown to ourselves and our new music, and they will appreciate this record as much as we do. I am honored to be a part of this release, and thank you all so much for checking out our new baby, Call Upon The Wicked.”

Many years have passed since the last SEVEN WITCHES album saw the light of day and guitarist/mainman Jack Frost decided it was time to give the fans what they wanted… and brought back James Rivera (HELSTAR) to front the group once again.
With the monstrous bass and songwriting of Mike LePond (SYMPHONY X) and drums from Taz Marazz, Jack Frost and the guys recently completed work on a new album with Joey Vera (ARMORED SAINT, FATES WARNING) handling the mixing. Entitled “Call Upon The Wicked”, the CD features material that ranges in sound from classic JUDAS PRIEST to a touch of RAINBOW. There’s even an epic song featuring female vocals, a new step in the band’s chapter. The record is a bit of a concept, talking about how women have been the decline of men since the beginning of time.
