Metal Mind Productions is proud to present exclusive vinyl release of three albums by the heavy metal band Killers, led by Iron Maiden’s ex-vocalist – Paul Di’Anno. Coming together in 1991, Killers was one of the first metal super groups to exist. Featuring members of Iron Maiden, Tank, Raven, and Battlezone, they were hailed by the press as the “Natural successor to Judas Priest”.
Killers’ vinyl will be available in the colours of the British flag: blue (“Murder One”), white (“Menace To Society”) and red (“South American Assault”).
Cliff Evans, guitarist comments: “We’re really excited about the upcoming vinyl releases of the three Killers albums we made back in the early 90’s. They were all recorded on 24 track analog tape machines so it will be great to hear those records again on the original format they were designed for. There’s no doubt that vinyl does have a superior sound quality over the digital CD, especially when listening to rock and metal. ‘Murder One’ was recorded at the legendary Power Station studios in New York and was produced by Rob Fraboni who had previously worked with The Rolling Stones and Eric Clapton among others. He captured one of Paul Dianno’s best vocal performances and the power of the band can really be best heard coming out of the grooves of a vinyl analog record. There’s also the satisfaction of holding the album in your hands and studying the liner notes and artwork. It’s not surprising that the vinyl album is making a comeback.
Can’t wait to get my hands on them.”
Killer’s vinyl are set for release on December, 2nd. All albums are also available in exclusive digipak CDs edition released by Metal Mind Productions in 2013.
The Beast is back! The original voice of Iron Maiden, and the front man of such bands as Killers, Battlezone and Gogmagog, arises to bring his fans a show of sheer heavy metal brutality! Paul Di’Anno returned to Poland in April to play a string of live shows. One of the shows – at Lizard Club in Kraków on April, 9th – was recorded for the purposes of a live DVD release “The Beast Arises”.
The material from the DVD captures a sensational live show in a club full of audience that would not let Di’Anno leave the stage for a long time. The release features mind-blowing performances of the classic material from the first two Iron Maiden studio albums, “Iron Maiden” and “Killers”, as well as songs by Killers, Battlezone, and, to top it off, a fierce cover of Ramones’ “Blitzkrieg Bop” – all this making for an outstanding show that will leave no fan in doubt that the Beast has truly risen! The DVD also includes an interview with Paul Di’Anno, a photo gallery and other extras.

Hell yeah! It’s time to enter the mighty Swedenrock Festival. A fantastic and the most enjoyable rock and metal festival on earth. It has to be pointed out that Metal Rules has covered Sweden Rock since 2001! Therefore, it is quite logical to cover the festival again. The 2014 line up presented a wide range of metal and hard rock. Approximately 80 metal and rock bands offered one hell of an experience for attendees. Sweden Rock has been successful during the past decade as the festival has always been sold out. This year wasn’t an exception as the fest was sold out despite a lousy economic situation worldwide. It has become quite logical for us to give an in depth article on several bands performing at Sweden Rock to all the readers out there. The weather was both rainy and sunny during these four days. The Metal-Rules.com team was there to witness the bands, not for some kinda beach party crap. Unfortunately, we are not able to cover every bloody band, but hopefully you will have a pleasant reading experience… Rock on!

Classic hard rockers HOLLYWOOD MONSTERS, featuring Tim Bogert (Vanilla Fudge, Cactus), Don Airey (Deep Purple, Whitesnake, Michael Schenker), Vinnie Appice(Dio, Black Sabbath), signs a record deal with Mausoleum Records. The new album, ‘Big Trouble‘, to be released on 23th May via Mausoleum Records. A brand new song “Move On” can be streamed using the Soundcloud player.
Hollywood Monsters are the brainchild of vocalist, guitarist, composer, Stéphane “Steph” Honde, a French expatriate, who’s been living in California since 2012.
Honde first became noticed when fronting Mamooth, subsequently garnering a well-deserved reputation as a guitar virtuoso when playing in Café Bertrand, a French rock group he joined in 2004. The band toured, playing humongous stadiums such as the Stade de France, with an audience capacity in excess of 80.000 – performing with classic rock giants such as AC/DC and Deep Purple, the latter for whom they opened on thirty-six dates across Europe in November 2006, and another 12 in March of 2007.Honde recorded two albums with Café Bertrand – both critically acclaimed and commercially successful – “Les Airs Empruntés” (2005) and “L’Art Délicat du Rock’N’Roll” (2008), before leaving the band in 2011.
Honde then embarked on a length tour with Paul Di’Anno, oriignal voaclist with Iron Maiden before absconding to California.
Once in Los Angeles Stéphane Honde befriended Tim Bogert, coaxed him out of retirment and convinced Bogert to play on his debut album…and voilà, the Hollywood Monsters were born.
Stéphane Honde recently signed an agreement with Mausoleum Records for the release of the debut album entitled “Big Trouble” by his new band: Hollywood Monsters, scheduled for release in May 2014.
The talented Hollywood Monsters line-up on “Big Trouble,” besides Tim Bogert (Vanilla Fudge, Cactus – on bass, additionally welcomes the performances of some more of Stéphane’s talented pals, including: Don Airey (Deep Purple, Whitesnake, Michael Schenker and dozens more – on keyboards), and Vinnie Appice (Dio, Black Sabbath– on drums), the latter for whom Stéphane had written the song “Village Of The Damned” as an hommage…before ever meeting Vinnie!
Paul Di’Anno, the legendary vocalist, returns to Poland this week to play a string of live shows as part of the Doładowanie Festival 2014. The festival is an annual non-profit initiative of young Polish musicians and consists of 5 concerts in five Polish cities: Warszawa, Krosno, Kraków, Wrocław and Łódź. Di’Anno’s show at Lizard Club in Kraków on April, 9th will be recorded for the purposes of a future live DVD release!
This English singer is best known as the first vocalist to record with the iconic band Iron Maiden, from 1978 to 1981. Despite world-wide success lurking just around the corner, Di’Anno departed from the band by the fall of 1981 (he’s since admitted that he was partying a bit too hard around the time of his departure from Maiden). However, Di’Anno’s unique and extremely powerful voice had made a huge impression on rock music fans the world over, and also gained him an army of fans due to the sales of more than 20 million copies of the first two Iron Maiden albums (“Iron Maiden” & “Killers”) featuring Paul’s unique vocal talent.
In his post-Maiden career, Di’Anno has issued numerous albums, both as a solo artist and as a member of such bands as Gogmagog, Battlezone and Killers, and he has been featured (either as the artist or as a guest) on more than 60 albums released world-wide.
As a confirmed icon of the metal genre Di’Anno is constantly gigging (with his various bands) throughout all of Europe, USA, Canada, Central & South America, Australia, Asia etc.
Di’Anno has even had time to have his first full sized and highly acclaimed Book/Autobiography released entitled “The Beast”, which is a no holds barred journey through his turbulent and often disturbing car crash lifestyle, throughout the last two decades. Although he only appeared on the first two Maiden albums, Maiden’s work with Paul Di’Anno remains among metal’s all-time finest, and to this day those two albums are idolized and thought of as “The All Time Classics” by most Metal fans and musicians alike throughout the World.
Full details of the forthcoming Paul Di’Anno DVD release to be revealed soon.
Former IRON MAIDEN singer PAUL DI’ANNO has issued the following update:
“Due to a snake (supposed USA booking agent) ripping everyone off in every way possible known to man (and a few ways not heard of yet) the USA tour will not be going ahead. After waiting and waiting and waiting and lies and lies and more lies (and then just a few more lies and bullshit) just like happened to many others before me – I have had to admit defeat to this lowlife and forget about the USA tour for now. As you can imagine, money changed hands over there in the USA (not my hands I might add) and keeping me suppressed was the best thing to do whilst it was all stashed away. My apologies to the American fans who have been let down and to the various promoters who got so badly burnt in this way. This slime bag snake knows who he is (and so does half of the metal and rock business) so lets hope his fall is a steep one…”
Hardline Media proudly presents Paul Dianno and Blaze Bayley – former vocalists of Iron Maiden – performing together for the first time ever in Australia and New Zealand. In a world exclusive, for their co-headlining sets both singers will be belting out only Iron Maiden songs – classic tracks from their respective albums with one of the biggest heavy metal bands in the world. This promises to be a must-see event for any fan of Iron Maiden and heavy metal!
The tour will also mark Blaze Bayley’s first time Down Under, taking himself and Di’Anno all across Australia (including regional NSW dates) and New Zealand in late November/early December. While Di’Anno has successfully toured Australasian shores previously, it will be his first performing solely Iron Maiden songs.
Both artists have released a wealth of their own successful solo material, but as a special treat for ‘Maiden’ fans, to make this tour special they have agreed to only perform Iron Maiden tracks. This means that punters can expect to hear Di’Anno-era classics such as ‘Phantom Of The Opera’, ‘Wrathchild’, ‘Running Free’, ‘Sanctuary’, and ‘Killers’, along with classic Blaze-era cuts such as ‘Sign Of The Cross’, ‘Futureal’, ‘Lord Of The Flies’, ‘Man On The Edge’, and many more. The majority of these songs are hardly ever played live anymore by Iron Maiden, so fans will have the rare opportunity to hear them performed by the legendary vocalists who first recorded them.
This will be a dual headlining tour – whoever goes on last each night will be determined by the toss of a coin before the show. Fans are encouraged to get there early so as not to miss a minute of this special event.
Iron Maiden are one of the biggest names in heavy metal and the music industry as a whole. As leaders of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal movement in the early eighties, they would go on to become one of the biggest and most successful heavy metal bands of all time, influencing countless acts that followed and selling over 100 million records worldwide. As the original singer of Iron Maiden, Paul Di’Anno’s unique and aggressive vocals featured on their first two ground-breaking albums – the self-titled debut (1980) and its follow-up ‘Killers’ (1981). Both releases are widely regarded as classics and have sold more than 20 million copies worldwide. When Di’Anno’s successor Bruce Dickinson left Iron Maiden in the early nineties, Wolfsbane vocalist Blaze Bayley was selected to front the band out of hundreds who auditioned. Blaze would record two albums with Iron Maiden – 1995’s ‘The X Factor’ and 1998’s ‘Virtual XI’ – helping to ensure Iron Maiden’s prominence during the nineties when heavy metal was at a low point.
Two legendary vocalists together in Australia and New Zealand for the first time performing NOTHING but Iron Maiden (with likely a few surprises – such as sharing songs – thrown in as well). This is a must-see event for all heavy metal and hard rock fans.
