NEURAXIS Post Second Guitar Video Lesson, Comment on SEPULTURA Tour

April 26th, 2011

Montreal’s tech death metal monsters, NEURAXIS, who are currently on tour supporting Sepultura, have posted a second guitar instructional video. This time, guitarist Rob Milley demonstrates, “Saviour and Destroy,” from their new album, “Asylon.” Check out the video, NOW: www.prostheticrecords.com

“Asylon” can be ordered, HERE; http://itunes.apple.com/ca/album/asylon/id417980028

Guitarist Rob Milley commented: “The Sepultura tour has just begun and Eastern Canada/USA was as usual nothing but amazing. It’s really cool to play with such a varied amount of bands and also all the different nationalities; Brazilian, German, Polish, Norwegian, Canadian and American. Neuraxis is playing some new songs in our set from the new album “Asylon” and the reaction has been awesome. Speaking of our new album, here’s a video guitar lesson of the song “Savior and Destroyer” for all the guitar freaks out there. Enjoy! ”

“Asylon” was recorded at Wildsound Studio with producer Chris Donaldson (Cryptopsy, The Last Felony, The Agonist). The cover art was created by artist Dennis Sibeijn of Damnengine Artwork, who worked with the band on their previous album, “The Thin Line Between,” as well with Job For A Cowboy, Chimaira and more.

NEURAXIS Announce Track Listing for “Asylon”; Vocalist Alex Leblanc Comments on Album Title

January 13th, 2011
Neuraxis - Asylon

Neuraxis - Asylon

Montreal-based tech death metallers, NEURAXIS, have unveiled the track listing for their upcoming album, “Asylon,” which will be released in North America on February 15th, 2011.

The track, “Asylum,” debuted last week and can still be heard at Prosthetic Records’ webstore, where the official pre-order is now running.

The track listing is:

1. Reptile
2. Asylum
3. Savior and Destroyer
4. By The Flesh
5. Sinister
6. Trauma
7. Resilience
8. Purity
9. V
10. Left To Devour

Vocalist Alex Leblanc commented on the decision to title the album, “Asylon:” “’Asylum’ is the first song I wrote for the album.  It opened up a ton of ideas for all the other ones.  After I was done writing all the lyrics, I was looking for the word asylum in Latin.  I realized it did not exist but it did in ancient Greek.  The word ‘asylon’ had a deeper meaning so it was more fitting to use it to globalize the whole mood/concept of the album.”

NEURAXIS will support death metal masters Deicide in February and March and legendary extreme metal act, Sepultura in April and May.

NEURAXIS Unveil “Asylon” Cover Art and Comment on Sepultura Tour; Prosthetic Launches Album Pre-order

December 9th, 2010
NEURAXIS “Asylon”

NEURAXIS “Asylon”

Quebecois technical death metallers NEURAXIS have unveiled the cover of their upcoming album, “Asylon,” which will be released in North America on February 15th, 2011. The cover art was created by artist Dennis Sibeijn of Damnengine Artwork, who worked with the band on their previous album, “The Thin Line Between,” as well with Job For A Cowboy, Chimaira and more. “Asylon” was recorded at Wildsound Studio with producer Chris Donaldson (Cryptopsy, The Last Felony, The Agonist).  Prosthetic has launched the pre-order for the album, at its official webstore. (http://store.prostheticrecords.com/index.php/sales-preorders/preorders)

Vocalist Alex Leblanc commented on the cover: “So here is the cover for “Asylon”. As many of you will see, it is very different from all our previous album covers. Since the lyrics and the music are so connected on the new record, we wanted the cover to represent perfectly the vibe…dark, visceral and heavy. We used a lot of dark green to represent the sick/poisonous mood of the lyrics.”

NEURAXIS has just been confirmed as support for legendary extreme metal act, Sepultura on their spring headline run. This is in addition to the previously announced tour supporting death metal masters Deicide in February and March.

Leblanc commented on touring with the Brazilian trailblazers: “On another note, we just confirmed our participation to the Sepultura tour starting next april. It’s a massive tour covering the whole north american circuit. Is it really necessary to tell you how stoked we are to be a part of this??? I remember moshing in high school corridors listening to “Arise” back in the days. This tour will start one month after the Deicide tour so it will be a good and busy winter/spring for us…See you guys on the road!”
