The Invisible Orange, in partnership with Congregate Events, presents this unique evening of eclectic extreme music. Co-headlined by Swedish black metal legends Marduk and Portuguese veterans Moonspell this is neither a package any harsh metal enthusiast should miss, nor one that Vancouver may again see the likes of.
With the bill rounded off by Colombian Satanic assault of Inquisition, the brooding melodies of The Foreshadowing (from Italy) and the merciless speed of Death Wolf (featuring members of Marduk) this promises to be an evening you can’t afford to miss.

Century Media Records is now joining forces with one of the most important and legendary black metal bands, MARDUK, to further the band and their own label, Blooddawn Productions! Together, Century Media Records and MARDUK will spread the disease for decades to come.
Morgan Håkansson (owner of Blooddawn Productions; guitar player and founding member of MARDUK, as well as bass player in DEATH WOLF) comments: “It’s with great pleasure that I can announce the cooperation between MARDUK and Century Media as we enter into a long-term deal. After over 20 years as a band and the last 10 years on Regain Records, we decided to march on. We have received an enormous amount of offers. But in the end, we see Century Media as the best partner and best platform for us to operate from. Century Media has a strong foundation and the vision that we have been looking for. So from this November day, MARDUK as well as my label Blooddawn Productions, including the band DEATH WOLF, are in league with Century Media.”
Jens Prueter, Head Of A&R Century Media Records Europe: “We always had a soft spot for bands with a history: legendary bands like Celtic Frost, Napalm Death, Paradise Lost, Sick Of It All, etc. Bands that helped to define a whole genre and who haven’t been afraid to follow their own vision – with all consequences. Therefore I feel honored to announce the new worldwide cooperation between Century Media Records and Blooddawn Productions. MARDUK released their groundbreaking demo 20 years ago and laid the foundation of Swedish Black Metal – so 2011 marks a historic anniversary to start with a new team to continue their path.”
MARDUK’s last album, Wormwood, was released in 2009, followed by extensive touring through North America (including the Blackest Of The Black tour with Danzig), Europe, Asia, and South America. Right after the tour, MARDUK will begin recording their 12th studio album, set for a spring 2012 release through Blooddawn/Century Media.

MARDUK have been touring the globe in support of Wormwood, their eleventh studio album released last October via Regain Records. Wormwood found its way to the top of year end lists both domestically and abroad and continues to reap praise among listeners nearly a year after its release . Decibel Magazine gave it a 9/10 review saying, “Wormwood…drives home grim nails of varying shapes and sizes – all black ones of course…repeated listens reveal deeper abysses.” Blabbermouth commended the band for, “…an atmosphere that continues to be cold and uncomfortably morose, made even more sinister by a bass tone that is not only thick and audible, but also value-additive,” while KNAC.com noted, “along with Mortuus’ obtuse lyrics and guttural, phlegmy vocals, MARDUK‘s surprisingly crafty compositions…and deft use of effects — as opposed to rote orchestration — give them an air of sophistication and guile you don’t often find in black metal.” Added Kerrang in a review of their New York City performance last year: “…grim as fuck, they knuckle down and pound out barrage after barrage of searing, slicing black metal evil…”
