Supergroup Comprised Of dUg Pinnick (King’s X), George Lynch (Lynch Mob/Dokken) and Ray Luzier (Korn)

KXM General Publicity 1 (Sébastien Paquet) copy

A new musical force to be reckoned with is about to turn the rock world upside down with the release of their self-titled debut, KXM. KXM is comprised of dUg Pinnick of King’s X on vocals/bass, George Lynch of Lynch Mob/Dokken on guitars and Korn’s drum maestro, Ray Luzier, rounds out the powerhouse trio. The band takes its name from the combination of the member’s other projects: K from Korn, X from King’s X and M from Lynch Mob. The debut album is set for release on March 11th via Rat Pak Records. KXM is launching a pre-order today for the new release on their label’s website, http://www.RatPakRecords.com/KXM. The album, in various bundles, includes signed CD’s, CDs and t-shirts and even a phone call from a band member is available with certain purchases. The album was produced by KXM and Chris Collier, who is known for his work with Lynch Mob, Lita Ford and Tommy Bolin to name a few.

The self-titled debut of KXM is something truly unique and special. The songs are powerful, precise, and transcend beyond the boundaries of the imagination.  In today’s overpopulated music arena, true gems become harder and harder to find, but KXM’s unified vision rises above the normal and creates its own space. From the opening drum riff of “Stars” to final chord on “Human Friction,” KXM is an album that is sure to resonate with fans from the band’s original projects while garnering new ones as well. Songs like “Gun Fight,” “Faith Is A Room” and the first single “Rescue Me” are sure to be instant favorites among fans. The band shows their softer side on the ballad “Never Stop” along with their dark side on the tale of domestic violence, “Sleep.” A trailer for the album can be seen here: http://tinyurl.com/KXMTrailer.

The track listing for KXM is:
1)   Stars
2)   Rescue Me
3)   Gun Fight
4)   Never Stop
5)   Faith Is A Room
6)   I’ll Be Ok
7)   Sleep
8)   Love
9)   Burn
10) Do It Now
11) Human Friction
12) Tranquilize (Bonus Track)
13) Rescue Me (Radio Edit) (Bonus Track)

KXM formed in early 2013 when dUg, George and Ray spoke about trying to jam together. At the time it wasn’t clear what would come from those jams. The only thing that was clear was that these 3 musicians, at the top of their game, wanted to play together. The self-titled debut, KXM, was born from those jam sessions and is now an important piece in each band member’s musical legacy. In a world that constantly searches for new and unique music, KXM delivers all the power and punch that one would expect from these high level players!

LYNCH MOB & DIO DISCIPLE vocalist Oni Logan update

October 17th, 2012
Oni Logan & Ronnie James Dio

Oni Logan & Ronnie James Dio

A note to all Lynch Mob listeners,

The Lynch Mob is on hiatus, for how long ? I don’t know.

Without getting long winded, truth is I haven’t left Lynch Mob, I’m just taking the time in pursuing other projects that I would like to be a part of. I’m sure we’ll regroup somewhere down the road.

Other projects……
One being The Dio Disciples US tour dates that start on October 20th at the House of Blues in Anaheim CA as a guest vocalist.

I had been asked by the band to join them in paying homage to Dio’s music and legacy. I have many great memories of Ron, I first met him in 1989 in West Palm Beach Florida, we had spoken for a couple of hours back stage which led to the bar, by the end of the night I told him that I was interested in coming out to California to catch the dream.

His answer was, “well, come to LA then”, as easy as that, I couldn’t help but chuckle as to how easy he made the journey appear to me but I did, I took his advice, it had been one of the best pieces of advice anyone has ever given me.

As fate would have it, we would become family friends in sharing Thanksgiving dinners, Christmas holidays as well as Halloween and new years eve party’s together, sort of surreal to think about it now, he always was such a great host and organized the best new years eve party’s every year, those were and still are some great memories.
Ron had such a great quality in how he was able to engage with people, no matter who you were he always made you feel like you were the only person in the room, I believe this had been one of the reason why his arms had reached so many people across the globe. It’s an honor to have been asked to represent a friend’s legacy and music, I truly believe he would have wanted his songs to continue being celebrated in all four  corners of the globe through his fans, fellow musicians, friends and family and loyal band members…….. we’ll all keep on singing his songs.

ONI LOGAN

INTERVIEW AND PICTURES BY MARKO SYRJÄLÄ

Singer-songwriter Oni Logan’s musical journey has taken him first from South America to Hollywood and later on to Switzerland, where he currently resides. Logan’s best known as the lead singer in the heavy metal band Lynch Mob, with whom he did the classic WICKED SENSATION album in 1990. Later in the mid 90’s he worked briefly with former Dio guitarist Rowan Robertson in a band called Violent Demise. The group recorded an album but it was unfortunately never released. Logan took a long hiatus from the music business before hitting back in L.A. club scene with his new band Head Set. Soon after moving his family to Europe, Oni released his first, all acoustic, solo album called STRANGER IN A FOREIGN LAND in 2005. Logan reunited with Lynch Mob in 2008 and one year later the band released its latest album SMOKE AND MIRRORS. The band started their European tour on last October and a couple of weeks later I had a chance to sit down with Oni in Sweden and discuss about his return and various other topics. Here we go!

ANTHONY ESPOSITO

INTERVIEW BY MARKO SYRJÄLÄ AND JARNO HUOVILA

LIVE PICTURES BY MARKO SYRJÄLÄ

The legendary Space Ace Frehley, of KISS fame, finally returned to Europe, after almost a decade, and unleashed his first solo shows in the UK in twenty years. At his shows in Sheffield and London, Ace rocked in front of sold out crowds of fans from all over Britain and Europe. Present were all the hallmarks fans could have possibly have wished for, from the career spanning spectacular set list to the smoking guitar. Along with his new band, comprising of Anthony Esposito [ex-Lynch Mob], Scot Coogan [ex-BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION] and Derrek Hawkins, Ace practically brought the house down and proved to any doubters, that he’s back! The day after the band’s spectacular performance at London’s Astoria, we hooked up with Anthony Esposito, Ace’s bass player, to catch up on the latest happenings in Ace World. Read On, Rock Soldiers!

ANTHONY ESPOSITO – part II – Ace Frehley band, ex-Lynch Mob

May 13th, 2008

ANTHONY ESPOSITO

INTERVIEW BY MARKO SYRJÄLÄ AND JARNO HUOVILA

LIVE PICTURES BY MARKO SYRJÄLÄ

In the first part of this candid interview, current ACE FREHLEY bass player, Anthony Esposito, spoke about working, touring and recording with Ace during the past 2½ years. This second part concentrates on his career prior to hooking up with the Space Ace.

Anthony Esposito first got to taste success in 1990 when he joined up with George Lynch and Mick Brown of Dokken fame and singer Oni Logan in Lynch Mob and put out the splendid WICKED SENSATION record. The follow up album, a classic rock album featuring new singer Robert Mason was released in 1992 during the zenith of the grunge phenomenon and suffered from the changing musical climate. Other internal factors within the band were also starting to disrupt the momentum. For the past decade Anthony focused primarily on running his own studio in New York City where he produced and engineered such bands as Misfts, New York Dolls and The Ramones. In this second part of the interview Anthony recounts some of his experiences with these great bands and more.

ACE FREHLEY -Live at Sheffield, U.K

April 27th, 2008

FRONT.jpg

ACE FREHLEY

10.04.2008

The Corporation, Sheffield, UK

After leaving KISS in the aftermath of THE ELDER, the ill-conceived and, at the time at least, ill-received concept album, and doing a Euro promo tour for CREATURES OF THE NIGHT -album in 1982 Ace took his time before taking the world by storm with the brilliant first FREHLEY’S COMET record. After a second studio effort by Frehley’s Comet, Ace put out another disc under his own name, titled TROUBLE WALKIN. Many things have changed for Ace since the golden years of the ’80s. After some darker times in the early ’90s Ace finally buried the axe with his old KISS band mates long enough to participate in the enormously successful reunion tour in 1996 after which, in 1998, KISS released their new PSYCHO CIRCUS album. Unfortunately this reunion of the four original members survived only long enough to record one album but they still managed to unleash one last "farewell" tour in 2001. KISS of course is still touring every now and then, sans Ace and Peter Criss, with stand-in players now filling their shoes.
