Brazil is home to many amazing bands, whether you are into death or thrash or punk or hardcore or power metal, a fan will always find something interesting coming from Brazil. One great example from this influential scene, is the band Confronto from Rio de Janeiro. Taking influences from different genres of heavy metal and adding hardcore to their sound, the band has been gathering fans worldwide for the past 15 years. Their latest album, ”Imortal”, was released in South America a bit over 1 year ago, and had legendaries guests like João Gordo [Ratos de Porão], Carlos Lopes [Dorsal Atlântica] and many others, and now in March the album is getting its’ European release, where the band will be coming in September for a tour to promote this terrific album. High-class thrash metal from Brazil, anyone? KORZUS were founded more than 30 years ago and are one of the most popular metal bands of South America. Four years after “Discipline Of Hate”, which marked their first worldwide release so far, the cult act returns with “Legion” on October 24th.
The Ordher could be classied as new, but old band hailing from Brazil. The band’s line-up consists of the recognizable Brazilian extreme metal veterans from other, now defunct, bands such as Rebaellium and Nephasth. The Ordher basically follows the paved path of the extreme death metal with the utter brutal vocals and lethal guitarworks by Fabiano Penna. The three piece’s debuted on the WEAPONIZE album which recently came out by Unique Leader Records. The guitarist Fabiano Penna unveils more about the debut album and why his previous band ceased to exist.

ChaosFear hailing from Brazil delivers highly skilled and aggressive thrash metal to the bone. Even though the whole band is pretty new on the metal map, the whole trio has gained experience by playing in other local Brazilian bands. The demo debut already proved the trio’s skills to create asskicking and whipping thrash.
The Brazilians’ debut album ONE STEP BEHIND ANGER will be re-released with extra bonus material added. The band’s drummer Danilo de Freitas explains a little bit more about the upcoming album and some historical aspects of ChaosFear.

An interview series of The Brazilian metal bands continues again. Korzus being one of the longest running thrash metal bands from Brazil was definitely a logical choice for Metal-Rules.Com. Korzus has struggled year after year by putting out killer releases for example their latest output TIES OF BLOOD was a great slab of brutal and grove influenced thrashing metal. Even though Korzus isn’t widely known, the five piece Brazilian metal squad constantly keeps gigging all around Brazil and other South American countries. Therefore it was a great opportunity to interview Korzus’s founding member and bassist Dick Siebert to find out more about this legendary Brazilian thrash metal combo.
