Deicide’s “March of Death” 2012 tour stopped at the Republik in Calgary Alta., on March 15th. Three support bands joined Deicide on tour and locals Day One snagged the opening spot for the night.
Chicago, IL, April 27th 2011 – Death Metal legends JUNGLE ROT have announced their signing to Chicago, IL based Victory Records.
The Kenosha, WI based quartet JUNGLE ROT have garnered a great and faithful following in the last 17 years due in large part to having a style more similar to the Big 4 heavyweights, rather than the typical Cannibal Corpse and Suffocation imitations that the underground extreme music scene is so oversaturated with. The style and approach JUNGLE ROT expose the public to is one of efficiency and execution that has been perfected over the years. Touring with such notable acts as Hatebreed, Deicide, Cattle Decapitation, Goatwhore, Vader, and many others has solidified their place in metal history.
“We are all very happy to be a part of the Victory family. Kill On Command is our 8th album, and it’s by far our heaviest and most brutal to date. Our new drummer, Jesse Beahler really took this new CD to the next level of heaviness. As always, there were ups and downs when making the record, but we do what we do best: keep fighting through all the bullshit that is dished out while being in a band, and in the end we came out with a killer new CD and a killer new label,” said guitarist and vocalist Dave Matrise.
“We need bands like JUNGLE ROT to keep reminding us that groove-based bludgeon is as important in death metal as technical savagery”- Blabbermouth
“One of the best examples of pure, crunchy mid-pace heavy-duty quality I’ve heard this year. Sheer badassery without the excesses”- Metal Review
JUNGLE ROT’s Victory Records debut, Kill On Command, will be released June 21, 2011. Pre-orders for the album are now available at the Victory Records Webstore.

JUNGLE ROT drummer finds himself caught in a personal crisis, bows out of the band + new US tour dates w/ LIGHTNING SWORDS OF DEATH and WOE OF TYRANTS
Death metal institution and Napalm recording artists JUNGLE ROT report the following regarding the departure of drummer Eric House: “Eric found himself in a personal crisis that demanded his utmost attention. Therefore, he had no choice but to leave the band. Since then, we have been jamming with our good friend Tony Ochoa [SINDROME, SPEED HATE KILL] behind the kit, and things are sounding great! Tony is a ridiculously hard hitter and will be joining us on the road for the upcoming U.S. tour!”
In other news, JUNGLE ROT will soon be touring the US & Canada in support of the band’s latest album, What Horrors Await, released last year via Napalm Records. Support on this trek will come from Metal Blade recording artists LIGHTNING SWORDS OF DEATH and WOE OF TYRANTS. Comments founding vocalist/guitarist David Matrise: “We are stoked to get back out on the road in the U.S. and Canada! It’s been way too long! We expect to see you at the shows! No excuses! For all the fans in areas of the country we are not visiting on this tour, fret not! We will be doing more extensive touring in the spring after the release of our new album.”
