The weather has darkened, the north winds have arrived with an Arctic chill and that’s just outside the Kentish Town forum this evening. The venue itself is preparing for an onslaught of the deepest and most violent creatures it has seen for a long time, with bands from the black , death and gothic genres of metal with ballistic beats, harrowing screams and brutality that can only come from the most skilled of lyrical poetic masterminds.

With the excitement of tonight’s gig flourishing around back stage the commotion is apparent with constant band members running up and down the stairs with crew on hand too clad in spiked gauntlets, ash tinted corpse paint and contrasting jeans and a T-shirt alike, tonight is set to be a rich display of industry greats with a bit of every metal sub-genre on hand.

Decibel Magazine Tour
Vancouver B.C. Canada
on April 21, 2012
Review and pics by Monika Deviat
This year’s Decibel Magazine tour featured four bands bringing not only excellent live music but also engaging performances that in the smaller venues the tour is hitting gave fans a very intimate feel. The all European line up consisted of Poland’s Behemoth, The Devil’s Blood from the Netherlands and Watain and In Solitude from Sweden. The tour stopped at the Rickshaw Theater in Vancouver B.C. on April 21, 2012 to a packed venue.
Metal Blade Records this week announces details on the upcoming versions of BEHEMOTH‘s Evangelia Heretika live album, THE DEVIL’S BLOOD‘s The Thousandfold Epicentre, and IN SOLITUDE‘s The World. The Flesh. The Devil.
These acclaimed albums, all released by Metal Blade over the past year, will now get the wax treatment, all being pressed as 2xLP sets, and all packaged in double-gatefold sleeves. The live BEHEMOTH LP was pressed on clear vinyl and also includes a 12″x24″ poster, while the IN SOLITUDE and THE DEVIL’S BLOODwill both be available on standard black wax. Check out photos of the actual product AT THIS LOCATION.
All three of the 2xLPs now bear a confirmed street date of March 27th, just prior to the Decibel Magazine tour kicking off just two weeks later. All three acts — BEHEMOTH, THE DEVIL’S BLOOD and IN SOLITUDE — will join the almighty Watain for the incredible tour lineup, and together they will burn 26 North American cities to their foundations between April 11th and May 12th. In Solitude’s Metal Blade Records debut album, The World. The Flesh. The Devil, will be released on May 24th, 2011, just in time for the festival. The band and Metal Blade are eager to bring their show to North America audiences
Uppsala Sweden’s IN SOLITUDE have set the track Serpents Are Rising as the group’s first single off their upcoming debut full-length The World. The Flesh. The Devil, in stores everywhere May 24. Decibel Magazine is hosting the exclusive premier on their website so be sure to check it out and leave a comment on the track.
Vocalist Hornper comments on the behalf of IN SOLITUDE: “Certain fragments of Serpents are Rising are among the oldest parts of The World. The Flesh. The Devil and the song was steadily taking form throughout the whole writing and recording process, and the last parts were put together just minutes before it was recorded. It is certainly one of the more straight-forward and stabbing-paced songs on the album and I think it’s a worthy representative of that erupting energy of the album, as well as the self-sacrifice made. The poem was written by Viusiudad (of Reveal) and was given a title and put in song-context myself. And like everything with brother Viusiudad; a strange, holy and collaborative effort. Blessings to him! And the poem deals with the ever-present, ever-guiding and ever-rising inner serpent.”
Pre-orders for The World. The Flesh. The Devil are now live HERE: both the CD and a CD/T-shirt bundle are available.
On tour now alongside PENTAGRAM in Europe!!
