Swedish heavy metallers ENFORCER have been involved in a serious bus crash while on tour in their homeland.
The band, who are on tour in Europe supporting Australian hard rockers AIRBOURNE, were travelling from Oslo to Stockholm in a snowstorm at around 3:00am on the morning of 10th November and were near their hometown of Arvika when their vehicle skidded on ice, crossed over to the other side of the road and experienced a head-on collision with a snow-plough.
ENFORCER guitarists ADAM ZAARS and JOSEPH THOLL, bassist TOBIAS LINDQVIST and the band’s driver were battered and bruised, but miraculously all survived the crash with only minor injuries. A county police officer at the scene said, “They had a guardian angel”.
The band’s vehicle was destroyed in the accident, but their equipment, which was in a trailer attached to the vehicle, was luckily unscathed. ENFORCER frontman OLOF WIKSTRAND and drummer JONAS WIKSTRAND were travelling in a separate car at the time and were not involved in the crash.
The band have regretfully been forced to cancel their appearances tonight in Sweden and on the 12th and 13th November in Finland and will be using the time to recuperate and recover from the nerve-wracking incident. They will resume the tour on 16th November in Berlin, Germany.
ENFORCER have posted the following comment:
“We’re all alive and well but we’re really sorry to cancel the gigs in Stockholm, Tampere and Helsinki. We’re working really hard to get back on the road again soon!”

Swedish heavy metallers ENFORCER have finished filming a new music video for the song ‘Midnight Vice’ in Stockholm, Sweden.

Swedish heavy metal sensations ENFORCER recently performed a blistering set at the UK’s Sonisphere festival in Knebworth in front of thousands of fans. With just a couple of weeks left until the band appears at Bloodstock festival, the members are feeling energetic and relaxed as the summer dates sail along smoothly.
Things aren’t always incident-free on tour though, as ENFORCER frontman OLOF WIKSTRAND recalls a rather scary encounter during the band’s North American tour with CAULDRON in late 2009:
“It was when me and Jonas finally got to Florida last year after 35 hours of driving. It was kinda dark. We went down to the sea to have a swim. Then I suddenly felt something touching my leg, and I was scared and went up to the surface. And then we saw shark fins sticking up everywhere in the sea. We even saw some sharks jumping… They were big! About 150 – 200cm, longer than I am tall.”
Thankfully, the young metallers managed to swim to shore, get out of the water and warn the others, living to tell the tale and finish the rest of the tour.
