EDEN’s CURSE signed a new Worldwide record deal with AFM Records
Multinational Melodic Metallers EDEN’S CURSE are thrilled to announce that they have signed a new Worldwide record deal with AFM Records.
The group, who are currently nearing the final stages of the writing phase for their as-yet-untitled fourth album, the first to feature new vocalist Marco Sandron (Pathosray / Fairyland) at the microphone, couldn’t hide their delight. “Signing a new deal with AFM was one of the easiest decisions we have made as band” quipped Bassist Paul Logue. “AFM have been our long term partners since 2007 and have always done a great job for us. We recently sat down together and discussed our future plans and where we saw the band headed and they made it known that they are firmly behind us” he added further.
And what of the bands first ever world wide deal?
“Consolidating everything under one roof, as opposed to having several separate deals, made great business sense to us and our management. I’m sure it means less paper work for all involved! We will however still be working with our long term Japanese partners, Spiritual Beast. Why fix what ain’t broke?” enthused Logue.
And how is writing progressing with the new album?
“It’s going! We are really into the home straight of the writing phase now. We are taking our time to make sure we have the song ideas that does the Eden’s Curse name proud and exactly what our fan base would expect from us. We are very excited by the new tunes”.
Timo Hoffmann of AFM Records stated: “Working with EDEN’S CURSE always was a delight. These guys are really dedicated to what they do and their ambitions, positive attitude and high standards always result in great quality. Since signing with us in 2007, the band has released three fantastic albums. No signs of slowing down – in fact it’s quite the contrary. But also beside the creative part, we found reliable partners in EDEN’S CURSE. That’s why we are very happy that the previous deal with the band (which was for the European territory only) now has become enhanced to a worldwide deal. We are looking forward to a great fourth album next year, and many more to come hopefully…”
AFM Records have penciled in a Spring 2013 release date for the new album.

EDEN’S CURSE – Video Footage Of DOKKEM Festival Performance Online
Multinational melodic metallers EDEN’S CURSE have posted a 9-minute fan video featuring performance footage from the band’s June 30 appearance at the DOKK’EM Open Air Festival 2012 at Dokkum, Netherlands. Check it out below:
The line-up features: Marco Sandron – Vocals, Thorsten Koehne – Guitars, Paul Logue – Bass, Pete Newdeck – Drums and Alessandro Del Vecchio – Keyboards
EDEN’S CURSE earlier in the year announced the addition of Italian singer Marco Sandron to the group’s ranks. Hailing from Portgruaro, 50 miles from Venice, in the northeast of Italy, Marco previously sang for Italian progressive metal act PATHOSRAY, who released their self-titled debut on Sensory Records in 2007 and their sophomore CD, “Sunless Skies“, on Frontiers Records in 2009. That same year he also contributed lead vocals to French symphonic metal outfit FAIRYLAND’s “Score To A New Beginning” album, which was released on Napalm Records.
“Time To Breathe“, the latest single and promotional video from EDEN’S CURSE, can be seen below. The clip was shot on location at Sky Park in Glasgow with director Simon J. Gillespie of Music Video Scotland.

Written by Paul Logue and Pete Newdeck, “Time To Breathe’s” lyrics are very topical, as Newdeck explains. “The lyrics stem from the current financial crisis grippling society today and the ignorance people have to what we are doing to ourselves and this awesome world we live in,” he says. “We need to buy ourselves time or it will be too late to put it all right.”
Director Simon Jake Gillespie of Music Video Scotland explains the concept behind the video: “As well as capturing the band performance, we wanted to portray the lyrical concept in a visual manner by showing four different people from four different walks of life uniting together to help each other escape from a situation. This symbolizes what we perceive needs to happen in society today to work our way out of the mess we have found ourselves in globally.”
A snippet of the demo version of “Losing My Faith“, a brand new song from EDEN’S CURSE, can be streamed using the SoundCloud player below. The track will appear on the band’s forthcoming fourth studio album, which will be recorded later in the year.
