Picture the scene: a field in south Derbyshire. One moment, quaint and calm; serene, leafy and undisturbed.
But then, as the sun arises to the midday point one cloudless Thursday in august, thousands upon thousands of heavy metal fans swarmed forth out of the woodwork that is England 2015, to attend the twelfth official Bloodstock Festival (11th open air to be exact).

Interviewed on November 30, 2014 at the Death to All show in New York City
Renowned metal bassist Steve DiGiorgio is one of the very best in the genre. Currently a member of Testament, Steve also had stints in Death and Sadus and is currently on tour with Death To All. At the New York City Death to All show I was lucky enough to interview him and ask a few questions about Chuck Schuldiner, Death To All, and the differences between the bands Steve has played in.

70000 tons Of Metal is the biggest heavy metal cruise on the planet. It has gained and created a loyal and fanatical following amongst metal fans around the globe in a short few years. Even though there were a lot of discussions, and even some outrage on the official 70000tons forum and social media, about the long silence while waiting to hear about the booking of the bands. However, the whole cruise was a surrealistic experience for journalists and fans alike. Spirits were not dampened by a rainy day which whipped the Caribbean sea and the ship, Majesty Of The Seas, about. The metallic mayhem on the sea sailed from Miami, Florida to Costa Maya, Mexico and back. Here is the brief write-up of all these bands who appeared on the ship.

Celebrating past legends is something the metal scene has always hung onto. Who can miss the Dimebag tributes every year, the Dio stage at Bloodstock and the Jeff Hanneman tribute is surely not too far off. One that you rarely hear of though is pioneer and father of death metal Chuck Schuldiner. Aiming to change this are three of his old band members who joined him at during his career. Death to All is a celebration of the life of this influential musician by keeping alive his work from over the years.
