70000 tons Of Metal is the biggest heavy metal cruise on the planet. It has gained and created a loyal and fanatical following amongst metal fans around the globe in a short few years. Even though there were a lot of discussions, and even some outrage on the official 70000tons forum and social media, about the long silence while waiting to hear about the booking of the bands. However, the whole cruise was a surrealistic experience for journalists and fans alike. Spirits were not dampened by a rainy day which whipped the Caribbean sea and the ship, Majesty Of The Seas, about. The metallic mayhem on the sea sailed from Miami, Florida to Costa Maya, Mexico and back. Here is the brief write-up of all these bands who appeared on the ship.

INTERVIEW WITH STEVE DI GIORGIO
Steve DiGiorgio is known his excellent bass playing on several metal albums. He recently made a return to Testament, replacing long time bassist Greg Christian. Steve has also been extremely busy with the Death To All tribute. Metal-Rules.com had the enormous pleasure to talk with the bass legend after a Death-To-All set.

Celebrating past legends is something the metal scene has always hung onto. Who can miss the Dimebag tributes every year, the Dio stage at Bloodstock and the Jeff Hanneman tribute is surely not too far off. One that you rarely hear of though is pioneer and father of death metal Chuck Schuldiner. Aiming to change this are three of his old band members who joined him at during his career. Death to All is a celebration of the life of this influential musician by keeping alive his work from over the years.
