Being one of the hardest working death metal bands throughout the years, Cannibal Corpse recently released their 13th album A SKELETAL DOMAIN. The long time death metal veterans visited Finland and played a couple of shows in front of crazy audiences. Before Cannibal Corpse hit the stage, Metal-Rules.com had the great opportunity to talk to the band’s bassist Alex Webster.

CANNIBAL CORPSE recently completed their tour of Russia, a place they have played previously played many times with no issues. Unfortunately, as many Russian fans are already aware, this tour did not go as planned. CANNIBAL CORPSE has released a statement, which can be read below.
A message to our Russian fans:
“As you all are certainly aware by now, our concerts in Ufa, Moscow, and St. Petersburg were cancelled. We were present in these cities and ready to perform each of these shows but were not permitted to. In Ufa the power was turned off shortly before the show (we were told because the venue was late on rent), and in Moscow and St. Petersburg we were told that we did not have the correct visas and that if we attempted to perform the concert would be stopped by police and we would be detained and deported (prior to the tour we had been told that we did have the correct visas and that all of our paperwork was in order).
Our show in Nizhny Novgorod also had problems. In that city we performed half of our set before being stopped by police. We were told the police needed to search the venue for drugs and that the show had to be terminated.
These are the reasons for the cancellations as far as we have been told.
On the brighter side, we had a fantastic time performing in Krasnodar, Samara, Chelyabinsk, and Yekaterinburg. We were able to play our full set in all four of those cities.
We came to Russia excited and prepared to play all of the scheduled concerts, and we apologize that we were not able to do so. It was beyond our control. We are extremely disappointed. We have played in Russia many times and we love our Russian fans. Hopefully someday the situation for us in Russia will be different and we will be able to return.”

Second annual Decibel Magazine tour to commence in May
Cannibal Corpse will be releasing a box set to commemorate their 25th anniversary: Dead Human Collection: 25 Years of Death Metal. The box contains: all 12 full length studio albums in a 12 CD foldout case with new artwork, “Torturing and Eviscerating LIVE” on CD and LP Picture Disc recorded in Tampa, FL 2010 / Milwaukee, WI 2012, PLUS: NEW EXCLUSIVE images by VINCE LOCKE, 12″ X 12″ graphic prints of all 13 original album covers, and a 2013 Cannibal Corpse Calendar. The box will be in stores on March 19th and is available for pre-order, along with the previously announced series of Cannibal Corpse picture discs, at metalblade.com/cannibalcorpse.
Kicking off in May, this year’s Decibel Magazine Tour gauntlet will last a full week longer than its 2012 counterpart, spanning over 30 North American dates. Presented by Metal Blade, Indiemerchstore.com, Nuclear Blast, Lace Pickups, Century Media and Season of Mist, the 2013 Decibel Magazine Tour will bring together the kind of globally-renowned, boundary-pushing innovators that have made it possible for the magazine to continue thriving for over 100 issues. Coming off a tour noted for Behemoth frontman Nergal’s triumphant return to the States following his battle with leukemia—which culminated in an explosive sold-out closing gig in New York City—Decibel had no choice but to go bigger and even more badass.
“We’re psyched to be headlining this year’s Decibel Magazine Tour along with Immolation and Napalm Death,” says Cannibal Corpse bassist Alex Webster. “This is a lineup of bands that have been a consistent part of the death/grind scene for decades, and we’re proud to be a part of it. It will be a legendary night for extreme music.”
Here’s an early opportunity to score a great deal AND avoid standing in line. Twenty premium packages are available in each market that include your ticket to the show, a tour T-shirt, a tour poster, a super-exclusive “Skip the Line” pass to move you to the front when doors open, one free track, Scourge of Iron, from the forthcoming Cannibal Corpse box set, Dead Human Collection: 25 Years of Death Metal (3/19), and one 10% off coupon for a purchase on IndieMerchStore.com. The price of this package is less than you would spend on a ticket and a tour shirt at the show! More details, including ticket info, will be announced at www.decibelmagazinetour.com.

Death metal icons, Cannibal Corpse, have confirmed that they will be spending most of the month of October this year in the eastern hemisphere. This will be the band’s first time in many of these cities, which include Jakarta, Tokyo, Perth, Seoul, as well as a show in Hawaii on their way back into the western hemisphere. The entire confirmed schedule can be seen below.
This tour, once complete, will leave few stones left unturned for Cannibal Corpse in the realm of international touring, as they completed a thorough tour of Eastern Europe in 2010 in which they performed in 10 countries in 18 days and met some random characters along the way. That experience was documented and released as the Global Evisceration DVD, which is available on-line HERE. Updates from the band’s trek this October will be available (pending internet connectivity, of course) via the band’s twitter account (@CorpseOfficial), bassist Alex Webster’s twitter account (@AlexCannibal), and the official Cannibal Corpse facebook page.
CANNIBAL CORPSE are touring in support of their critically lauded, impossibly brutal full-length, Torture, released through Metal Blade Records earlier this Spring. As one of the official t-shirt’s states: Keep repeating – it’s only music… it’s only music… it’s only music…

After three long torturous years, death metal titans, CANNIBAL CORPSE, return to Australia for a sarcophagic frenzy of sordid and demented proportions! Set to commence on October 4, the band will ravage five cities — Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth — in support of their latest and ceaselessly hostile full-length, Torture.
Released through Metal Blade Records earlier this Spring, Torture proves that when it comes to combining unrestrained maliciousness, involved song writing and technical precision, there is no equal. About Cannibal Corpse (source: cannibalcorpse.net)
Returning with the ceaselessly hostile Torture, Cannibal Corpse prove that when it comes to combining unrestrained maliciousness, involving song writing and technical precision they still have no equal, once again fortifying their position at the forefront of death metal. The twelfth full-length of their inspiring twenty-four year career, the Floridian quintet have never sounded so vital, the album building upon the wealth of powerful, dark, and memorable songs comprising 2006’s Kill and 2009’s Evisceration Plague and pointedly upping the ante at every turn. While this marks the latest progression in the band’s sound, Torture also witnesses a return to what drummer Paul Mazurkiewicz accurately terms “the frenzied attack of Butchered At Birth (1991) or Tomb Of The Mutilated (1992)”, infusing the band’s advanced musicianship with the raw savagery that haunted their earlier releases, and in the process conceiving the definitive Cannibal Corpse record.
From the moment the aptly titled “Demented Aggression” explodes to life in a storm of blistering riffs and turbulent drums it is unequivocally apparent that the band are at their ruthless best, and everything that follows backs this up vehemently. From the monstrous chugging of “Sarcophagic Frenzy” to the deeply
