San Diego-based metallists Cage are set to return on October 30th, with the release of their latest metallic tour de force, ‘Ancient Evil,’ which has been prefaced by a lyric video for the killer composition, “The Procedure”.
“We really love how creepy the video came out, it’s like a mini movie almost,” explains singer Sean “The Hell Destroyer” Peck. “This song will give people a good idea of what they are in for on this massive, heavy metal, horror story thrill ride!” Rounding out the band are Dave “Conan” Garcia (guitars), Casey “The Sentinel” Trask (guitars), Alex Pickard (bass guitar), and Sean “The Thrash Machine” Elg (drums).
INTERVIEW AND PHOTOS BY MARKO SYRJALA AND ARTO LEHTINEN
When former and current members of various metal bands (Cage, Manowar, Lizzy Borden etc) forms a new band, what is the result? It is pounding powerful metal with the fast and furious riff with the vocals in the upper register. The band is called Death Dealer. The five piece went throughout Europe supporting the Metal All Stars. Therefore Metal-Rules.com sat down with the whole band before the show to talk about the band, their debut and above all, what the future holds for Death Dealer.Read the rest of this entry »
The Metal world is a buzz with talk of a new super-group, DEATH DEALER. This new international recording and touring act has a ton of Metal firepower in it’s ranks including Sean Peck (Cage, Vocals), Stu Marshall (Empires Of Eden, Guitar), Ross The Boss (Ross The Boss, ex-Manowar, Guitar) Mike Davis (Halford, ex-Lizzy Borden, Bass) and Rhino (Angels of Babylon, Ex-Manowar, Drums). The new album WAR MASTER is slated for release in the summer of 2013 on the Steel Cartel label and promises to rage with Metal power. We took the chance to talk to Sean Peck about this exciting new band.
“Classic power metal with the brutal edge of thrash, speed, and precision.” A fitting description from guitarist Ross the Boss about his new project, DeathDealer. Comprised of Ross, as well as vocalist Sean Peck (Cage), guitarist Stu Marshall (producer and guitarist for such voices as Udo Dirkschneider and Steve Grimmett), bassist Mike Davis (Rob Halford, Lizzy Borden), and drummer Rhino (Manowar), DeathDealer will be dropping their debut full-length, ‘War Master,’ some time this summer.
The cover artwork was generated by Marc Sasso who has done previous work for Dio, Halford, and Adrenaline Mob, among others. Close ups of this highly detailed piece can be viewed at www.marcsasso.com.
But for collectors that want to add a truly unique and special piece to their collection, the “Death Dealer Ultimate Warrior Pre-Order Pak” is the way to go. The pak will only be made available through the official Death Dealer website – http://www.deathdealer.co/site/store.htm – and will not be sold to distributors. For only 35 bucks, you will receive the following:
LINER NOTE SKETCH ART BOOKLET, WITH ADDITIONAL SKETCH ART FROM MARC SASSO [WHO HAS PREVIOUSLY WORKED WITH DIO AND HALFORD], DETAILING THE GENESIS OF THE COVER ART AND CHARACTERS. ALSO INCLUDED ARE LINER NOTES FROM EACH OF THE BAND MEMBERS WITH INSIDER NOTES AND COMMENTS ABOUT THE BAND AND SONGS, AND THE COVER CONCEPT SKETCH.
DEATH DEALER STICKER PAK, INCLUDING THE BAND’S LOGO, SYMBOL, AND A HI-GLOSS COVER ART DECAL.

FULL COLOR MINI POSTER OF THE COVER ART.
Additionally, the first 250 orders will receive a Death Dealer VIP full color tour laminate, so the band can easily identify the early adopters – the first of the faithful – so when the band sees you at one of their shows, you shall be treated accordingly! And as Sean explains, the pre-order pak will include some true one-of-a-kind items. “The idea for the cover was to create an image that portrayed power, venom, justice, and something iconic. Marc Sasso was nice enough to include other samples of the ‘War Master’ character in various poses and some other pieces of his magic for us to enjoy, so we included them in this sketch book and liner notes package.”
Stu – “The album ‘War Master’ really represents a true power and return to the days of bands being able to play live what goes on the album. Apart from being the best album I have ever been involved with, I am working with some of the most talented guys on the planet. I remember the excitement of the new metal album coming out, I think some of those days had gone over the last 10 years in the industry and now it’s time to bring it back.”
Sean – “Making this album with this incredible line-up of guys was just a freaking great time! I cannot wait for everyone to hear it. This album really has it all in my opinion, soon to be metal classic songs that are heavy, hook-laden, and packed full of lots of guitar, drum, and vocal fireworks. When you look at who is in the band, I think the metalheads out there will be thrilled to know that without any hesitation I can assure them that the album sounds as badass as they would hope and expect it to be.”
Mike – “Since I’ve been in both Halford and Dramarama for the past ten years and having put 100% into both bands, I’m extremely excited and looking forward to working with some new, very talented musicians who share the same passion for music, and ‘War Master’ more than stands on it’s own as a vicious greeting to the metal world.”
Rhino – “I am very excited about being in this band and getting this first album out. I really feel at home with this line-up. All the guys really formed a bond as we put the band and album together. Recording and writing with Ross and the guys really flowed naturally and the results are amazing. I am really proud of everything about this record and it reminds me of the glory days of heavy metal. We all love metal and metal is or lives, and because of that, I know the diehards are going to freak out when they hear this record.”
Ross – “It’s been a long time since a CD like ‘War Master’ has come around. This is a great CD but only the tip of the iceberg for DeathDealer.”

“Flying Fortress”, the new video from the San Diego, California metal band CAGE, can be seen below. The clip depicts the historic recount of the crucial attack by the allies on the ball-bearing plant in Schweinfurt, Germany on August 17, 1943. The song refers to the B17 bomber which was known for its amazing ability to take incredible amounts of damage and stay airborne. The attack, although costly in lives, proved to be a major turning point in World War 2 by crippling the Germans’ ability to manufacture the Messerschmitt fighter plane that provides air cover for the ground war.
CAGE "Supremacy Of Steel"
The “Flying Fortress” video was previously released only to pre-order purchasers of the “Ultimate Viking” edition package of the new CAGE album, “Supremacy Of Steel”.
“Supremacy Of Steel” was released on November 25 via Music Buy Mail in Europe and Heavy Metal Media in the U.S. and rest of the world.
Known for crafting great memorable songs, capturing the essence of the classic NWOBHM sound, and always sounding unique and modern, CAGE somehow effortlessly shows how the limits of the genre can be pushed without losing what makes the heavy metal sound a worldwide calling for the faithful. Throughout the 11 tracks, all the smashing CAGE elements are found along with fresh new surprises that are tastefully sprinkled about in just the right fashion. From the blast beats in the opening scream fest “Bloodsteel”, to the eerie King Diamond-like falsettos in “Annaliese Michel”, CAGE fans new and old will be banging their heads with horns in the air throughout this entire long player for decades to come. “Supremacy Of Steel” also contains the epic, long-awaited sequel song “Hell Destroyer vs. Metal Devil” and a remake of their unreleased cult classic song “Braindead Woman”. Anthems like “Metal Empire” and “King Of The Wasteland” will have all metal fans unable to resist such true, convincing metal emotion.
CAGE’s latest and greatest lineup yet includes the hulking frame of riff master Dave Garcia, the unmatched vocal diversity and range of singer Sean Peck, drummer Norm Leggio also of PSYCHOTIC WALTZ, and debuting the new additions of thunder-thrash guitarist Steve Brogden and the amazing bass playing of one America’s best, Pete Stone. All the power and speed from their previous award-winning albums has once more been ramped up with faster drums, blazing leads and riffs that will stay with you into the night, and the highest of inhumanly impossible supersonic screams.
As always, CAGE has spared no expense when it comes to the presentation and packaging of their products. The amazing artwork of Marc Sasso (DIO, HALFORD, Marvel Comics) depicts the band in a live setting with the very metal godz themselves looking down upon the mayhem! The 16-page interior booklet is second to none with various artists chronicling the contents of each song in vivid color and truly has to be seen to be believed. It may be the finest looking metal booklet ever and that is no exaggeration! The special pre-order packages are available at www.cageheavymetal.com and have been extended until October 31. These will include both bonus tracks, a special sticker, a full color poster, a CDR with unreleased versions and bonus tracks, and other metal goodies.

Empires of Eden is very happy to announce Sean Peck as one of the feature artists on the upcoming album “Reborn in Fire”. The screamer from San Francisco is lead vocalist for US based power metal band Cage.
From guitarist Stu Marshall: “Sean was one of the guys I approached for the album after being a huge fan of his band Cage. His vocal range is something to really hear as the guy has one of the most intense and expressive voices in metal music today. The other great thing was his ability to compose material. I sent him a song that was really aggressive and he was able to rearrange the parts as he saw a best fit. Sean’s song Total Devastation is definitely the heaviest track on the cd and pure, kick in the face screaming heavy metal. The new album from Empires of Eden – “Reborn in Fire” will feature some of the world’s most respected heavy metal voices. With the already announced Mike Vescera, Zak Stevens, Steve Grimmett and Carlos Zema the album also showcases the incredible talents of Aussie singers Louie Gorgievksi, Chris Ninni and Mike Zoias.”
Studio videos are now online and free Iphone content is available at the bands page.
Released by 7Hard and also available on Itunes, the album is set for release globally on July 16.
With a 30 piece orchestral score – 8 singers – one album – Empires of Eden – Reborn in Fire.

Hell Destroyer Record Release
w/ Agent Steel

Review and pics for ThrashKreator
Cage and Agent Steel on the same stage; quite the bill for a small club on the outskirts of < ?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />San Diego. They are two bands that need little introduction to those who are fans of the old school. The occasion for this show is the return of Cage with the release of “Hell Destroyer”, the bands first album since 2003’s “Darker Than Black”, which held high critical acclaim and topped several “Best of” lists for that year (my own included)
