The second edition of the Getaway Rock Festival in Gavle Sweden took place during a few sunny days at the beginning of July. Bands that performed included Alice Cooper, Hammerfall, Monster Magnet, Kreator, Bullet For My Valentine, Danzig and Ghost. This year I had some help with covering the festival and together we wrote and had opinions about most of the bands. Read on and enjoy.

The second edition of the Copenhell Festival in Copenhagen Denmark took place at the middle of June and the venue was held at the same place at last year, the old industrial area at Refshaloen located a few minutes outside downtown Copenhagen. Bands like Korn, Judas Priest, Deicide, Morbid Angel and Anvil performed at we thought it was time to head over and to pay the festival a visit. Check out our review of the festival!

To be honest this was probably my first time ever to write a review about a band which was almost entirely unknown to me. I had only seen the “Suffocating Under Words of Sorrow” video once from MTV and I knew that this band was nominated in the best new band category in various magazines. When I was asked to do this review I first hesitated a bit but after some thinking I decided to go for it and here are the results…
