BRUTAL TRUTH Unveils New Video And Confirms Final European Festival Dates

February 5th, 2014

Following the recent news that BRUTAL TRUTH will be calling it a day this October, the band has started to announce their final European shows. The grind crew will play several more dates throughout the year, including their final appearances on British soil as they play Temples Festival this May alongside the likes of Electric Wizard, Neurosis, Tombs, Clutch and many others.

Of their appearance at Temples, founding bassist Danny Lilker stated: “OK people, this is it! The last Brutal Truth UK show! Unlike that well known and loved British icon Ozzy, when we say we’re done, we’re done! Come on down and grind with us one more time. Love, Dan Lilker.”

Following the appearance at Temples, the next day BRUTAL TRUTH will play their farewell show in the Netherlands at Neurotic Deathfest, and their final show in France will take place at Hellfest in June.

In addition to announcing their final tour dates, BRUTAL TRUTH has also unveiled the brand new video for the track “The Stroy.” The video is being exclusively premiered worldwide today via Terrorizer Magazine’s website, who describes the video as “a creepy and atmospheric journey that sees our grind heroes zoning out and and embarking on an astral dirge that’ll give you nightmares for weeks.”

Watch “The Stroy” at Terrorizer HERE.

Stroy is taken from BRUTAL TRUTH‘s scathing recent split with Bastard Noise, entitled The Axiom of Post Inhumanity, released by Relapse in November. The split album, drummer Rich Hoak promised, would “fry your brain”, a view that many reviews agreed with. Combining over four decades of grinding noise dominance, The Axiom of Post Inhumanity is a long overdue pairing of extreme music veterans that is sure to push the limits of even the most masochistic listeners. Both the CD and LP formats of the release contain entirely different sets of music from both bands while the digital version collects all of the tracks onto one compilation.

The Axiom of Post Inhumanity is streaming at Bandcamp; listen to the entire release HERE. To purchase the album in a physical format, click HERE, and to buy from iTunes click HERE.

Confirmed BRUTAL TRUTH European shows:

5/02/2014 Temples Festival – Bristol, UK – Last ever UK show

5/03/2014 Neurotic Deathfest – Tilburg, NL – Last ever Netherlands show

5/21/2014 Hellfest – Clisson, France – Last ever France show

BRUTAL TRUTH To Grind Through Brooklyn And Philly This Month; Europe… You’re Next

March 10th, 2013

brutal_truth_live_3.jpgThe blazed henchmen of grindcore, BRUTAL TRUTH, will storm through the Northeast US with two shows next week, and have confirmed the crashing of a round of European metalfests.

Next Saturday, March 16th, BRUTAL TRUTH will raid Brooklyn to pummel Saint Vitus bar with support from Total Fucking Destruction [double Hoak duty!], Psychic Limb and Hivesmasher, on the way to the Philthadelphia Infest in Philly the next night with Master, Malignancy, Embalmer, Phobia, Cannabis Corpse and labelmates Devourment among a rash of others.

This Spring and Summer BRUTAL TRUTH will raid European audiences several times, confirmed to hit Stockholm, Sweden on April 18th, followed by their participation on Close-Up Magazine’s Båten cruise with Entombed, F.K.Ü., Scar Symmetry, Grave and others over the following days. July will take the bastards back to Europe once again to slaughter crowds at Metal Days Festival in Slovenia and Stonehenge Fest in Holland.

BRUTAL TRUTH assaulted the masses with the monstrous End Time LP in September 2011, the band’s patented sonic abuse as always fueled by swarms of blastbeats, distortion, feedback and bong-sedated rage, its’ chambers loaded with nearly an hour of faceblasting anarchy. Recorded with Doug White at Watchman Studios in Lockport, New York, End Time showcases BRUTAL TRUTH continuing to reign as one of grindcore’s most influential acts.

Dan Lilker – Nuclear Assault / Brutal Truth

October 23rd, 2008

It would be more than unexpected if some serious metalhead asked “who is Dan Lilker”, cos the man has been involved in the metal scene and in the catacombs of underground metal for several decades. Above all, Nuclear Assault are still remembered as pioneers of the NY thrash metal scene, with several killer albums from the 80’s. Dan has also carved a reputation as the long time bass player and founder of the extreme grind core act Brutal Truth which terrorized the underground extreme metal genre in the 90’s until they went on a long hiatus. After being on a hold for years Brutal Truth has returned to bring their extreme music to extreme people again. The band visited Helsinki some time ago and we got the great opportunity to chat with Dan about his various bands, but above all about Brutal Truth, Nuclear Assault and even going back to the very early days of Anthrax.
